Thunder shook the night, sending loud cracks that could stir anyone from slumber. Elettra had been up for hours, a still statue frozen in her placement at the mouth of Willow Ridge den site. She watched the storm rage on, twisting the trees of her home, the wind tossing debris over the clearing, pure darkness engulfing everything until a flash of lightning left you blinded. Elettra batted her pale eyes, her ears folding down to her skull in readying of the loud crack of thunder to come. It boomed, shaking the trees, sending the fur along her spine on end. Her head tosses over her shoulder, sure that by any moment Angier would be coming slowly to her side, woken by the storm as likely the rest of them within.
Worry overwhelmed the mother, who's daughter was out in this - somewhere, anywhere. Morganna had left them so suddenly that Elettra had not fully to this day comprehended it. Giving away her position was not easy and not without trial. In truth, had Elettra not injured herself she would have not given her position so freely. Being injured had been a cop-out, an easier way of giving reason for her not being Leader. Though in that time Morganna had gained a number of allies, some of which had joined the ranks. Most of the pack was on her side and just when Elettra was sure she had solidified her placement and would be everything she had ever hoped for, Morganna left. Disappointment was the least of her emotions, though she did not lie by saying the feeling did not fester in her. Now at eight years old, she was thrown back into the position she had long now accepted retirement from. She wore the position more or less now as a burden. She was the Leader because she was the best, she always had been, without a doubt. Though a need to spend whatever moments she had left with Angier far out-weighed that of tending to the rest of her members needs. If Nicolo had wished to hold onto Leadership so badly then Elettra left the floor open to him, waiting for him to take the reigns while she was other wise occupied. So far there was but silence.
