It had been a few weeks since her time spent with Naia, and Inali still didn’t have an answer for her beloved. Naia would already be well into her pregnancy now, and Inali ached to see her. To hold her and give her the answer she knew she wanted to hear. But she couldn’t, at least not now. There were too many things to consider, and speaking to her alphas would be one of them. The subordinate cringed at what she perceived their reaction to be. Aideen was a nice, warm-hearted woman. Miccah was the one she truly worried over. If she decided to go, would he label her as a traitor too? But if she left, she would not only have to let go of her new found peace, but Bane as well. And Yuka, what would he think whenever he returned? She didn’t want to hurt anyone, but that was the inevitable conclusion. Again. Inali shook her head, wanting to clear these thoughts that only brought her despair.   As she walked along the borders, a specific trail caught her attention. Following the scent with quiet, swift steps, she arrived to where Bane stood guard. The tall, dark man before her knew her every fault and still seemed to care for her. Exhaling a sigh of relief, for surely Bane would help her sort out this dilemma, she approached the man and didn’t bother with a verbal greeting as she nudged his maw affectionately with the tip of her muzzle and snuggled into his chest. The days were going by now restlessly, each moment a blur of constant guarding of the borders, hunting, scavenging, caring for the pups. Bane was no longer a yearling so a lot of his duties as a baby sitter had been shed. So he guarded. Day in and day out he would stroll the lands of his home and around its borders. Where he would find an easy meal he would take it, getting out his energy in a small hunt for himself - rabbits, squirrel, mice... As the night fell, so went the wolves. A collection of them moving closer towards the dens to take guard, the mother of the pups resting tightly against them. Out here by the borders is where Bane remained, looking out towards the north-east where lands were far beyond his reach. He was ever silent as he sat, a statue under the moonlight and he might have let slumber take him out here by himself had he not heard the stirring of another. His body tensed, ready to lift up and face whoever it was yet one quick whiff let him know his friend was near. She was swift, quickly and silently making her way around to him, pressing her body against his chest and front limbs as he sat. He rumbled a small hello to the scout, his tail brushing back and forth along the forest floor. ""
