Odin, you discovered some berries, only you can't remember if you were told they were definitely safe or definitely poisonous.

He's gotten into some early bog blueberries and probably a couple of crowberries. Nothing that is going to kill him, just leave him very, very miserable for a bit. For @Craw.

Having crawled out of the den with an empty stomach, leaving @Kara to continue to sleep soundly, the boys blue eyes took another pass at the clearing that surrounded their den. The grass was short and tight, perhaps grazed by some great wild wooly before the wolves moved in (never mind how it would have gotten up there, goats being the most likely culprits). Nothing for a boy with aching gums and an empty stomach to wrap his teeth around. A little further out, was a small stand of bushes that he had paid little mind to when they were covered with little pink blooms. Perhaps a stick would do the trick?

As he drew closer, it became clear that some of the flowers had withered away and in their place stood bright black berries. A quick glance across the flat top of the monadnock showed a big black bird perched on another of the bushes, picking out the berries with his long back beak and swallowing them whole. The boy decided if the bird (clearly a grown up) thought they were ok to eat then he could too. Tentatively, he ate one - his nose wrinkling at the tartness of the berries not quite ripe for picking yet, although, they weren't entirely inedible. Gritty from the seeds and a little dry - but it was more than he had in his stomach for now so he continued to pick the bush clean. From there he moved onto the next until his stomach swollen with under-ripe berries gave an angry growl.

Something was wrong. Something was terribly wrong.

Maybe he should just lay down for a moment, perhaps try to sleep it off. His face was twisted into a grimace as his stomach continued to roll and bubble.

Craw
He's so out of his depth.

He'd been resting on the other side of the white boulders, having emerged into the bright morning feeling the need to just sit and admire the rolling horizon. From here, he enjoyed listening to his packmates waking, soft voices as they greeted and farewell'd each other, the sound of their pawsteps in the dry earth as they went about their business. There was never any tell tale sign of the puppies amongst them, so Craw simply assumed that they were still asleep, possibly with their mother. Once the voices and sounds died down, all the wolves off to be productive, the spider lingered, his eyes following the glittering gold veins of the boulders as the rising sun made them dance.

A puppy's movements were much softer than an adult's, and as such Craw never noticed Odin's. He mistook the sound of the berry bush rustling for those of birds, and as such paid it little mind - but after a few minutes, something about it caught his ear, and he got a strange feeling.

Hefting himself up from where he had been lounging, Craw padded around the nearest white rock only to see Odin in front of one of those newly-fruiting bushes. Not yet aware of what had happened, having still to put the pieces together, he paused. The crow cawed, a croaky, amused sound. Craw frowned. "Odin?"

Odin? He knew that familiar gravelly voice by now. Kára might insist on calling him Cer but Odin knew better. "Daaaah," the sound was somewhere between a self pitying moan and a whine. Small face contorted in another grimace as his small stomach rolled and gurgled, a long high pitched Brrrrt signifying gas escaping his small body (and not from his mouth). The child looked rather concerned, having never heard his body make such a noise before. His head was quick to rise despite the rotten feeling in his stomach and look towards his tail from where the noise had escaped.

The edges of his mouth turned down as it became hard to breathe through his nose alone. Instinctively jaws parted to allow the small child to pant, his sides heaving as his stomach tried to reject the excess berries. But it was too late for that and nothing came up besides a loud, sharp burp that hurt his throat on the way. Pitifully the child dragged himself to his paws, finally resigned to his fate. He toddled closer to @Craw, every contorted inch of his face signalling the impending meltdown. "I die da?" Maybe those things were just for birbs, and not for woofs at all.

Poor Craw

It wasn't often that Odin and Kára were not together, or at least in the same general area as one another. They had nodded off together curled up for a nap which was why when the blue eyes had creaked open the pup had been so disorientated to be alone. Blinking rapidly to clear her blurry vision the red cranium lifted from the dirt and swayed around curiously. Where had Odin gotten off to? And without her! With a huff of annoyance the pup stood shaking soil from her fiery pelt, how dare he abandon her to go off and have? It mattered little that she had done so in the past and left him sleeping in the den, he couldn't do it to her!

Leaping out of the den she didn't even need to follow her sniffer because the sound of Cer's voice alerted her to their whereabouts. So Odin had left to go play with the funnest big besides their mother!? Tail held high in anger she burst into the scene, small face contorted with accusation blue eyes blazing. That is until she heard what her brother had to say. DIE? The pup rushed forwards until she was pressed against her brother's side and looked expectantly up towards Craw, tears brewing in her eyes. Sniffing she wailed, "Cer! Odin no die! No let Odin die, CER!" The scent in the fair was foul and it caused the girl to curl her nose is displeasure but she held her ground, the big had to do something!

Craw
ohman

He wasn't sure, exactly, where Odin had gotten 'dah' from, for Craw had never introduced it... but he didn't discourage it, either. He still needed to have that chat with Morganna, though they seemed to be cruising along on unspoken assumptions just fine.

But, right now, everything was not fine.

The spider's ears flicked back in hesitation and discomfort as Odin turned, a pained whine in his chest and a matching, but rather more unpleasant whine from the boy's rear. Craw stood and stared as Odin wretched, and it was only when the crow took up more crackling laughter did he look once more at the bush and its fruit - but with much fewer small blue berries at the bottom than the top, marking an efficient harvesting of all fruit within a puppy's reach...

Odin's belch brought the yellow eyes fixing back onto the boy, heartrate rising as he realised that he had no idea how to fix this. It wasn't the sort of problem you could just solve by murdering it. The pale wolf moved forward to meet the child as Odin struggled towards him, needing comfort, his tiny, terrifying question tightening the barbed wire around Craw's heart. He had no chance to respond - partly because the question had dredged up an old terror in him, Odin was not of his blood, he wasn't cursed, it couldn't be that - before a red shape ran forward and embraced her brother, wide blue eyes staring at Craw as though he would know what to do.

They had no healers. Morganna knew something about plants, but if she wasn't here already then -

"He will not die," Craw hissed, closing the gap between himself, the suffering child and his sister, and when the crow cackled at them Craw stepped towards it and snapped his heavy jaws in the bird's direction with a furious snarl. It took flight in alarm, squawking its indignation, but Craw did not stop growling until it took the hint and flew off.

But that was an easy solution to what was definitely not the real problem. "You will not die," he said, quieter, more stubbornly, bringing his head down to Odin's level so the boy could be close to him, pressing the scarred bridge of his muzzle into the boy's heaving chest. Perhaps that would give him comfort from... whatever the fuck was wrong. What had he eaten? Why couldn't he be sick? He did not care about the smell, save for its implications. "Kara," he rasped, glancing at the girl, fighting to keep himself calm so that the children would not feed off his spiralling panic, "where is mother?"

Morganna Archer-Lyall

She could feel the sun in her fur, the breeze in her face. It was such a beautiful day for a nap in the sun. She wasn't even that far from the children, convinced if she didn't hear them get up that @Craw, or @Wraith or maybe even @Greer might choose to entertain them, and know to summon her if there was a dire need. So when she was awoken (from just the other side of the berry bush) by Craw asking Kára rather frantically (for him) where mother was, she stood with a yawn and a stretch, "Right here..." she answered, still blinking the sleep from her eyes.

Brows were quick to draw down as she put the pieces together, glancing first to Odin, blue stained tongue hanging from parted lips, a look of pure misery on his face, to the berry bushes, picked rather bare from about half way down, to the look of pure terror on her mates face... and she smirked. Her shoulders shook as she tried to hold back the laughter, utterly failing as the sound overtook her, growing weak at the knees as she tried to regain some composure. She managed to stumble to her daughter, a quick nose to her crown and a shaky "He's gonna be fine," muttered into her red crown as she tried to breathe.

A quick warning was offered as the boy dragged himself to shaky legs "Keep clear!" she warned, ushering her daughter back towards the den and away from the impending eruption she knew would be due any second.

Feel free to pp Morg heading back towards Odin once he farts but kinda hanging back until he's ...done.

As Kára came closer the small boy moaned pitifully. He didn't want her to see him like this. He didn't want her to be splattered with bits when he finally exploded all over their home. "Luv yooo" he whimpered to his sister before a rustle behind the bushes finally caught his attention. He pushed himself up into a seated position as his mother finally emerged, his pitiful panting and moaning earning him a smile... and, and laughter? This was not funny! He was dying and ma thought it was funny?!

His stomach gave another heave as he stood, his mother leading his sister away not going unnoticed. Was this the plan? Did his mother mean for him to die? Was @"Kára in on it?! That was it wasn't it? His mother only wanted one baby and he was wrong, bad. He wasn't pretty like his mother or his sister. Squeezing his eyes tightly shut he charged to the last person he had left in the world, another pitiful cry of "Daaa!" leaving his lips as he barrelled towards @Craw's chest.

That high pitched noise escaped from under his tail again, look of pure terror painted on his little dark face which quickly degenerated to a cry of horror as he realised it wasn't just air this time. His back legs splayed as he waddled forwards, trying to seek out a grown up for comfort, not realising that his mother would return just as soon as she was sure his sister was safe from the rancid, black, tarry fallout.

Kára Archer

Craw's tone was surprising to the pup who has never heard such a....harsh way of speaking from the white big before. Red ears folded back and she cringed slightly away from him, had she done something wrong? The cackling crow and following growls were lost on Kára as she leaned against her brother offering him the only support she could think of. Burying her wrinkled nose into his neck she whispered, "Luv yo O." Suddenly a question was posed to her and the girl couldn't help the discouragement she felt as she didn't have the answer.

Despite the big's assurances that O would not die she could feel the tears brimming on her eyes and her lip beginning to quiver. The first few drops leaked out dramatically and she prepared to wail when her mother came forward....laughing? The girl rushed forwards to meet the older wolf halfway and happily accepted the calming muzzle upon the crown of her head. Somehow hearing that Odin would be fine from her mum was much more reassuring than hearing it from Craw.

Grumbling in displeasure as she was ushered away she offered a nip back in her mother's general direction. Typically she would not act this way towards any of the bigs but her anger got the better of her in the tense situation and her emotions brewed high. This was all quickly forgotten though as a putrid scent reached her nose and Kára gagged. What had just come out of her brother's butt?

Craw
The rush of relief at hearing her voice was just as quickly wiped out by the sound of her laughing. For several long moments, Craw simply failed to process it, staring back at @Morganna in her merry state, barely registering that Kara dashed to her, barely hearing the soft reassurance his mate offered her daughter. It was only her sharp warning - which he heard as laced with that same inexplicable humour - and Odin's wailing which snapped him out of it.

Moving forward to meet the distressed child, Craw sat down so that he could wrap his foreleg around the boy and pull him closer, lowering his muzzle to Odin's face and pressing it gently to him, wanting anything but for the boy to feel alone when he was scared and suffering. As mess pooled around the boy's rear, accompanied by a terrible stench, Craw barely flinched; he crooned softly to Odin, waiting it out, for he had processed Morganna's reaction enough to understand that it must mean her son was not in any serious danger. The smell was putrid, but it was not of death, and as such Craw had gotten his panic back under control. But not his anger.

It didn't mean he was over it, though.

Taking Odin's scruff in his jaws once the wave had passed, not knowing whether or not it was going to be the only one, Craw placed him back down a yard away from his bowels' mess, just so that the child didn't have to sit in it. Once more he pulled the boy close, touching his nose to the tiny black forehead, passing his tongue down the spine and over the rear to clean away a little of the matter which had gotten on his tail. He would need a more thorough bathing once it was over. When Craw saw movement from the corner of his eye and glanced back to see Morganna approaching, his eyes narrowed as his ears pulled back, lip curling to reveal the points of his teeth, though he did not make any move to stop her. "You think this is funny?" he hissed, quiet and resentful.

If Odin goes towards Morg, or Morg moves to grab Odin, then you can assume Craw will stop neither and let it happen :]
