Feel free to have them enter the woodlands and search for/find the river which they can follow to the springs @
Celandine @Capable
Things seemed to turn sour when Capable joined the gathering. It seemed his offer of adventure fell on deaf ears as the small pup turned to him with a look in her eyes that could only be matched by her fiery pelt, and advised him against travelling with the red haired woman. On what grounds the young girl accused his pack mate of being bad, Lorcan was unsure. His russet ears slid back against his head in alarm, as he watched the pup stride off, his brow raised in scepticism as he turned his gaze towards the accused just as she offered an insult in return. Lorcan’s top lip flickered in disdain. Whatever the issues between the two of them, it would have to be settled at a later date – and it seemed Capable agreed as she reverted the attention back to the task at hand.
Lorcan simply nodded, before taking a few steps forwards to stand at the edge of the ledge where he had hoped Kára would of stood, and took a moment to take in his surroundings. Seeing as no one had actually offered an answer to his initial question, Lorcan would have to figure out the right direction for himself. He could see the wall of trees stretching out along the edges of the lowlands, but the area they covered was so vast, it would be stupid to just wander in and hope they roamed in the right direction. They would lose hours, even days, if they weren’t careful. Thinking on his feet, Lorcan turned his attention towards the sun. It was said that the sun always rose in the east – and he specifically remembered Morganna mentioning that the ginger grew in the woods to the south of the monadnock.
Moving now to follow the trail down from the monadnock to the lowlands, upon reaching the soft grass and mosses of the plains, Lorcan turned his body in the southern direction according to the sunrise. Golden eyes turned back to glance towards his two companions. “I think we need to head in this direction.” He stated, hoping he didn’t sound completely unsure of himself, before he rolled himself out into a stretch. Lean muscles now warm and nimble, Lorcan readied himself to move, but before he did he glanced back to the two women. “Once we reach the woodlands, look out for any signs of water. Morganna said we should search near some springs.” He said, before moving off in the southern direction, gradually speeding up his pace into a sustainable jog.
