Okay so here's the plan! Start at the monadnock --> head south to the woodlands --> find the river --> follow river to springs (without entering WFN territory) --> search for ginger and try and find evidence of WFN pack :P

Everyone feel free to say they are travelling onwards with each round of replies so that we should arrive at the springs within a few rounds - and gives them some time to chat get to know each other ;)

Then @Gent and/or anyone else from the WFN pack are invited to join once we reach the springs :D

If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me :D
The fiery tendrils of the sun had just begun to glisten over the horizon when Lorcan stirred awake. Golden eyes flickered open and glanced around in the dim light as the young male stretched out to warm up his tired muscles before shaking his fur and climbing his way out of the main pack den. Today was the day when he would go in search of ginger for @Morganna. She had informed him that he may be able to find some in some woods, near a spring with red rocks located south of the monadnock. Lorcan had yet to venture into the woodlands, but he was confident that his pack mates  @Celandine and @Capable would be more knowledgable of the surrounding territories. After their cougar incident, @Craw had instructed the women to accompany Lorcan on his journey, for Morganna had also asked that he be on the lookout for a pack who she believed to be ruled by a male called @Gent. If they did happen to stumble upon Gent's pack, they were instructed to be civil, but it wouldn't hurt to have the two women with him should things turn sour.

Standing just outside the main den entrance, Lorcan wagged his tail eagerly. He wanted to get moving before the midday heat set it. "Celandine? Capable? Are you awake? We should leave now, before it gets too hot..." Lorcan called out, hoping not to be too loud as to wake the others unnecessarily soo early in the morning. Waiting patiently for the two females to join him, Lorcan made sure to dangle his tail submissively between his legs and let his ears lay flat against his head in anticipation for their approach. He had not had much interaction with the two females and was anxious to make a good impression on his appointed travelling companions. "We need to head South, into the woods. I was hoping one of you ladies knows the way?" He continued, hoping that the women would hear him upon their approach. Lorcan was desperate to successfully complete the task for Morganna, wanting to please the alpha female and prove that he could succeed as a healer.

Kára Archer
Let me know if this isn't okay! Kara won't leave the territory so she will probably only be in the first round, but she's a brat and is nosy

Kara had been sleeping and minding her own business, truly she had been. Well mostly, she had been until one of the bigs had begun stirring and had left the den then all hopes of her minding her own nose were out the door in a flash. Seeing the agouti man take his leave had instantly peaked the interest of the small fiery child and she had leaped to her feet. Stretching as quickly as possible the Archer child suppressed a yawn and crept out from the communal area, staying in the shadows as much as possible. As she aged her ability to sneak had improved from what it once had been but it wasn't quite perfect yet, far from it actually.

As soon as she was in the sun her pelt lit up like liquid flames and any hope of being subtle were gone. Instead she gave the man (Lo something) a lopsided grin and plopped her bottom upon the ground. He had called for people (not her, but that was besides the point) and here she was to deliver exactly what he wanted! Wasn't that just so nice of her? Grinning up at him once more she declared, "I do! I know!" This was a lie but she was hoping the man wouldn't pick up on that. She didn't know where they were going but she so desperately wanted to go with them.

Celandine Argyris

Mere hours after her pristine crown touched the soil, and the blissful waves had taken her off somewhere she'd rather not leave, a voice shook her awake. Cracking one brilliant eye against the harsh rays of daylight, her gaze fell upon the man. Lorcan was it? She'd known him in passing, of course. Everyone knew everyone in passing, though she hadn't really taken the time to learn more than his name. Her past experience with Silent Moon Plateau told her that he'd be gone soon enough. Grunting her disapproval, the woman stood to stretch.

She offered Lorcan a nod, while picturing all of the devious ways she could kill Craw for forcing her up at an hour like this. In fact, she was pretty sure that the Gods had sent the alpha to her as some sort of sick karmic payback. 'Celandine do this, Celandine do that.' Okay, so maybe it wasn't exactly like that.

Much to her suprise Kara had beaten her there. Casting a knowing glance towards the man from behind the ginger girl, she opted to let Lorcan deal with disappointing the hopeful cub.

Capable

The last to arrive – how displeasing.  Even more displeasing was that Capable hadn’t even been asleep when the so called ‘leader’ of their expedition sought to rouse the ladies, but instead deep in a meditative state.  Foolish, to think she had a moment to finish percolating over the thought that had trickled into her mind.  By the time she’d joined the small group of others, even young Kára had appeared.

One disdainful brow lifted upwards.

But then, it could be worse.  It was not her brother.  And she was a girl trying to be helpful, she supposed, and little else.  The child’s effort should be encouraged, even if Capable had little interest in Morganna’s spawn otherwise.

“Do you now?” she asked, temporarily ignoring Lorcan in favor of the youth.  She kept her voice low, in hopes she would not roust the other members of their pack, and leaned down to eye the young redhead. “Point us in the right direction, and maybe we won’t tell your mother you were up so early.” Sienna eyes twinkled with mischief.  Ears rolled forward, and it was clear there was nothing malicious in Capable’s stance, even if she offered forth an idle threat. “Maybe we bring you something back from the south, mhm?”

Lorcán Artemieva
Lorcan hovered silently outside the main den entrance, keeping his body posture somewhat submissive as he waited, impatience burning within his muscles, for his fellow pack mates to make an appearance. When his russet ears heard a the faintest thud of footsteps, Lorcan turned his head towards the direction, full expecting to be met with the figure of one of his female companions. Instead when his golden eyes searched the area he was met with nothing, and his pale brows curved up in confusion before he noticed a flash a small fiery orange from the corner of his eye moving out from beneath the shadows. Looking down to see one of the monadnock children, Kára he believed, he was promptly met with a mischievous grin as she plopped herself down beside him. When the young pup declared that she in fact knew the way to the woodlands, Lorcan couldn't help but chuckle playfully.

However, before his charcoal lips could even summon a response, his attention quickly turned to Celandine who greeted him with a nod and settled down silently beside the pup, paying no mind to the young princess. Lorcan glanced across to Celandine and greeted her with a smile of his own along with an eager wag of his tail and then before looking back down to Kára - but again, as his charcoal lips parted to talk, his reply was silenced with the voice of another. This time Capable made her appearance and the words that spilled out of her mouth were if she had taken them from his very own. Lorcan now grinned, playing along with Capable's games. He believed it was important to encourage pups to play some small-somewhat-insignificant role in important situations. They would surely learn a great deal and receive a boost in confidence, not that the young girl was lacking in any.

Taking a step back from fiery pup, Lorcan lowered his muzzle in attempt to nudge her rump forwards in the direction of the cliff-edge where the view of the surrounding area was the best. "Go on, you show us which way we should go." He chimed, his voice soft and encouraging. "If your directions are right, maybe I will ask Wraith or your mother if I can take you out on an adventure sometime?" He grinned, golden eyes glinting in reassurance.

Kára Archer
Kara exit

Her face was still bright and eager as her red tail swooshed about behind her waiting for Lorcan to give her an answer. I mean obviously he would let her come, she said she knew where they were going and so duh he would let her come. Celandine came up behind her and Kára's face turned to look over her shoulder and beam at her, she liked the girl ever since she had plucked her out of the mud slide. Then looking back towards Lorcan her smile didn't falter until Isuni joined the group.

Fiery hackles rose and the grey eyes narrowed dramatically and a small growl rolled from her throat. What were they doing brining the wind girl? Were they CRAZY!? Turning her snout up she gave no kind of verbal response to the girl but her disdain was palpable in the air between them. A single ear flicked dismissively to her threat and she looked back to Lorcan, "You shouldn't bring her. She's bad."  Then not giving the group any other words and Isuni the strongest stink eye (the one she had been practicing with @Odin) she flicked her tail as she walked by and back into the den. One thing was for sure, she wasn't going anywhere with that lady.

Celandine Argyris

Celandine played out Lorcan's offer to Kara in her head, picturing Morganna's face if the man actually asked to take off with one of the cubs. Of course, the dark woman might let him. He was their shiny new lap dog wasn't he? One ear flicked back at the thought, irritation and something else.. something she didn't quite understand poured into her stomach. Best not to think of such things though, so she turned her attention back to the group.

Isuni's playful threat wasn't misplaced, so when the fiery cub's less-than happy reaction spilled into the air Celandine found herself intrigued. It was common knowledge that the woman had uttered something about the wind in the madness of that storm, but the former princess hadn't taken much interest in considering it. Thus, when Kara told them all how 'bad' the woman was, she concerned herself with what she had missed. Bright eyes flicked to her superior, silently running through a list of things that the large woman could have possibly done to offend the youth.

Kara's grand exit was something even Celandine could be proud of, having made such similar scenes in her youth. The woman decided that maybe she'd bring the ginger girl back something, lest the other's feel too put off after her display.

Capable

Now, Capable wasn’t quite suggesting they take the little orange pup along with them – frankly, she could only imagine the girl’s mother’s reaction should they allow her even one step outside of Whitestone Monadnock’s territory.  She gave Lorcan a sideways look, a single brow raised; this was his show to run, however.  The woman was tagging along as muscle (presumably), and if he wanted to make stupid choices, well.  That was on his head.

Kára, however, seemed to have a change of heart – fixing Isuni with a haughty look, the pup announced her feelings on the matter to the rest of their kith before sauntering off with all the posh of a little queen.  The redhead couldn’t help her short bark of laughter as the girl went. “What a brat.”  Morganna certainly had her hands full with that child – she was not jealous in the slightest.  Thank goodness no one expected her to actually manage any of the puppies.  (That one needed a lesson in pack hierarchy.)

Shaking her head with idle amusement, she ignored Celandine’s speculative look to turn to the male of the trio, her brow arched once more. “Well?” she demanded, tail swishing idly.  “Let’s go, kid.  This is your show, isn’t it?”

Feel free to have them enter the woodlands and search for/find the river which they can follow to the springs @Celandine @Capable
Things seemed to turn sour when Capable joined the gathering. It seemed his offer of adventure fell on deaf ears as the small pup turned to him with a look in her eyes that could only be matched by her fiery pelt, and advised him against travelling with the red haired woman. On what grounds the young girl accused his pack mate of being bad, Lorcan was unsure. His russet ears slid back against his head in alarm, as he watched the pup stride off, his brow raised in scepticism as he turned his gaze towards the accused just as she offered an insult in return. Lorcan’s top lip flickered in disdain. Whatever the issues between the two of them, it would have to be settled at a later date – and it seemed Capable agreed as she reverted the attention back to the task at hand.

Lorcan simply nodded, before taking a few steps forwards to stand at the edge of the ledge where he had hoped Kára would of stood, and took a moment to take in his surroundings. Seeing as no one had actually offered an answer to his initial question, Lorcan would have to figure out the right direction for himself. He could see the wall of trees stretching out along the edges of the lowlands, but the area they covered was so vast, it would be stupid to just wander in and hope they roamed in the right direction. They would lose hours, even days, if they weren’t careful. Thinking on his feet, Lorcan turned his attention towards the sun. It was said that the sun always rose in the east – and he specifically remembered Morganna mentioning that the ginger grew in the woods to the south of the monadnock.

Moving now to follow the trail down from the monadnock to the lowlands, upon reaching the soft grass and mosses of the plains, Lorcan turned his body in the southern direction according to the sunrise. Golden eyes turned back to glance towards his two companions. “I think we need to head in this direction.” He stated, hoping he didn’t sound completely unsure of himself, before he rolled himself out into a stretch. Lean muscles now warm and nimble, Lorcan readied himself to move, but before he did he glanced back to the two women. “Once we reach the woodlands, look out for any signs of water. Morganna said we should search near some springs.” He said, before moving off in the southern direction, gradually speeding up his pace into a sustainable jog.
