Aponi had avoided the topic of any goddess on the way back towards the Bend with Nova, though a flicker of annoyance passed by her features whenever her sister mentioned it. The trees that they passed through were familiar as the stone of the Pass had once been to her, the silver body moved with ease between the boughs, feet finding holds gracefully. On the way the mother had filled the awkward silence at first with casual talk of her daughters, Kyna's fiery eyes to match the attitude she had grown, Lila's recent run in with a bear. Eventually though she had run short of things to say to act like so many years had gone by in anger and silence.
That is until they had almost reached the pack that the scent around them filled the air. Grimacing Aponi snorted, "I don't suppose you're interested in seeing Naira? I try to keep the girls as far from her as possible given we're all in the same pack." Blue eyes glanced towards the dark girl at her side, trying to gauge the reaction that this would cause, was Nova more forgiving than her even after all of this time? Stopping a few yards back from the markers the silver she wolf stopped, lifting her muzzle to the sky to call for her daughters, fully expecting that Lila would arrive before the older girl. Maybe it was the age or the hormones or the personality or just not being a shitty mother this year but the pup was more likely to listen than the yearling.
Pausing in the silence that followed her howl Aponi murmured, "Please don't speak of your goddess with them, Kyna's been through enough already and Lila is still just a child." Her voice was quiet but the tone was stern enough to portray that this was a request she expected to be followed.
