Anaia Lieris
Anaia was getting tired. The tundra had been farther than she'd expected and it had taken her several days to reach it from where she'd first spotted it. She'd only managed to find a couple small rodents and as a result she was incredibly hungry. To make things worse, her leg seemed to be getting worse. Her going was slow, and she was forced to either take frequent breaks or risk hopping on top of the fragile snow to keep her leg off the ground. She once against cursed the winter; she'd loved it last year, but last year she'd had a home and a family and wasn't sick. The snow had at least one benefit: water. She didn’t have to search too hard for rivers because she could just take a few mouthfuls of the white blanket covering the ground. It wasn’t preferable, but it was something.
Anaia suddenly halted. She’d been so preoccupied with her own thoughts she hadn’t realized she’d come into wolf land. She sniffed warily; she didn’t think she’d crossed the pack border yet, but it was definitely close. While she was cautious, she was slightly pleased. It had been so long since she’d smelled another of her kind, and she had been half afraid she would never smell anything besides snow again.
She sat and licked her injured hind leg, grateful for the excuse to take yet another break. Should she risk crossing the territory, or go around? She knew she might find easy food inside, but she knew packs were protective of their land and food, and if she wasn’t careful she could get herself killed – especially if she got caught stealing. The idea didn’t appeal to her; she’d always considered herself honest, but the pain gnawing at her stomach pushed many of her morals from her mind. The question of her safety, however, is what caused her to pause. She eyed the land ahead of her, wondering just how far away the border really was, and how big the territory was.
“It’s nothing that can’t be decided after a brief rest.” She muttered to herself, settling herself a little better so as to relieve weight from her injury.

Adelayde Artemieva

Adelayde didn't stray far from the borders since her last encounter outside of them. It would take her while to summon the courage to cross them again alone at least. Askan or ever Drestig would make her comfortable enough to cross, however Askan was still out traveling for their alpha. And Ade wouldn't bother her dark cloacked leader unless she really needed so. So for now, the Snow woman stayed within the boundaries for fear of what could lurk outside of them.

Though Ade wouldn't cross the Rye borders, she would at least patrol them and reinforce the border lines from potential intruders and loners. Today would be her lucky as she trotted along the snow covered field, her nostrils caught the scent of another. One that wasn't a Rye wolf.

Quicking her pace, she followed the down casted wind towards the outer borders until the white cloacked woman came into view. Releasing a low bark to alert them of her presence, trotted closer until she was a few wolf lengths away. "Hello, are you in need of something? "

Odin Archer
our conscience in the gutter, our dreams up in the sky
Odin Archer

It was more common now for the boy to push the boundaries of his parent's domain. With no Wraith to keep them in line and Celandine gone to boot, the number of wolves the children would actually heed was running rather low. He had been following an old scent trail of @Isuni's, heading somewhere to the east when peach eyes fell on the strange white wolf. For a moment, he thought perhaps Celandine had come on crawling back, but the lack of her regular silver shadow made him think again. No, maybe not.

Imitating his parent's movements, standing taller than his mother at the shoulder now, he bought his tail to swing over his back, head rising as he approached. A warning bark was sent forth, the higher pitch of his call the only thing betraying him at this distance as not even a yearling yet. She looked beat, that was for sure, and for a moment he considered calling for @Lorcan, but then thought better of it. No doubt the medic was somewhere on his tail anyway, and perhaps this one wasn't worthy of their assistance. He had seen first hand on more than one occasion that the healer seemed to prefer to help first and ask questions later, but Odin was more interested in seeing whether she was worth helping first.

Before he could quite reach her though, another approached, setting the young boy on edge. He stopped short with a low growl in his chest, leaving plenty of distance between them. He was close enough to dart back across borders if it came to that but he also knew his parents were only one short howl away.

Anaia Lieris
Anaia was taken aback. She’d only just settled down when not only one but two wolves had joined her by the pack border. One seemed far more wary of her, however, and stayed further back. Anaia soon figured out why; the scent wafting off him was different.

Two packs so close together? Anaia thought in surprise. She’d never known two packs to live so close together.

Her ears fell back and rested against her head in guilt. Perhaps it was her fleeting thoughts of simply entering the territory that had drawn these two wolves to her. “I’m just passing through.” She said to the closest wolf, the one who had spoken to her, almost defensively. She hadn’t actually entered any territory yet, had she? “I’m sorry if I’ve somehow invaded your land. I’m from further north and I’ve been traveling a long time; I’m not entirely sure where I am.”

She was trying to appear submissive without appearing weak, though she knew in her condition she was likely fooling no one. Even so, she was avoiding standing to keep the extent of her injuries to herself until she knew how things were going to go down. She couldn’t run, and she couldn’t fight. Talking her way out was her only option.

Saradathia Kethian
Saradathia trekked out through the light shower of snow. A small pang of sadness swelled up at the small reminder of her old home. Though it dissolved like mist on the morning air as the young wolf realized one thing. She was genuinely happy with her current pack, her new home. Her nose twitched as a familiar scent drifted across the breeze, one of her packmates, while it wasn’t unusual, and the yearling had no plan to bother whom ever it was, until, she paused. Odin? Curiosity piqued now to why he’d be out here and the urge to find out. If one of @Craw and @Morganna’s children got hurt and she happened to be close enough to have stopped it...she shuddered at the thought and set off through the  loose flurry of falling snow.

The very small wolf trekked with a quiet hum, her scarred muzzle pressed against the ground as she followed her packmates scent. Eventually the silver eyed yearling caught sight of the growing pup’s dark silhouette against the white backdrop of snow. Saradathia paused as she caught the scent of other wolves on the wind and picked up the pace, coming up to stand on Odi’s left side as she turned her gaze out toward the other two wolves, having missed what words the loner had spoken. Her only real concern was making sure the pup was alright. Torn ear angled forward, simply keeping silent for now to observe.

Adelayde Artemieva

As her mismatched blue green orbs overlooked the young woman before her, she could see discomfort in her gaze and tried to pinpoint what was wrong with the girl. Noticing on of her hindlegs looking injured, the Mackenzie wolf sighed softly. Poor girl, what happened? However, before she could react to her observations, she caught an unmistakable scent. Freezing, she rigidly and quickly turned her head towards the direction he was standing. What hell was he doing here? Here to taunt her again? Or worse did he bring another friend to try to attack her a second time?

Growling lowly, she lowered her neck to cover her chest as her gaze narrowed in his direction. The dark boy was further from his lands than Adelayde was, she was only just outside her borders. However, she knew he wasn't far to his as the two packs were rather uncomfortably close to one another. The girl's voice broke her unwavering stony gaze and Adelayde turned an ear towards her to catch the rest of her words. Her eyes kept intently poised on the two wolves of his pack, however.

"You're rather close, but you haven't crossed any." The Snow woman replied, turning her mismatched gaze upon the ashen girl for the brief moment as a meager smile crossed her lips. Normally, Adelayde would converse happily with this girl. But with that dark boy so close to her after what happened the other night, kept her right on the edge. "You're in the northern parts of Relic Lore. Larkcall Lowlands to be exact." It wasn't long before Adelayde's gaze retracted right back towards the two Whitestone wolves, determining what exactly they were doing out here. "What happened to your leg?"

Odin Archer
our conscience in the gutter, our dreams up in the sky
Odin Archer

The 'tch' of his tongue clicking against the back of his teeth was barely covered by a sigh as one of the smaller pack wolves came to stand by his side. At least she didn't bother to nag him or try to herd him home, and he supposed (given their last encounter), it was better to have numbers on his side. Casually stalking closer with all the confidence of @Craw (and a smirk to match his mother), the boy moved close enough listen in on the words that passed between the pair. Dark ears turned forward at the mention of the loner's leg, he stopped still short, prepared to turn and run should things take a turn for the worst.

He cleared his throat in an attempt to avoid any adolescent squeaks from plaguing his speech, however, the results were mixed. "We've got a medic back at the Monadnock if yer need it looked at." There was the hint of a friendly smile tugging at the corners of his lips, tail even taking up a little wave. A loner's attention was hardly as explosive of a situation as an easy meal once the cold weather kicked in and while they may have been slightly closer to the trees, they were standing on no man's land. For now, he would dismiss the tree-line dweller much as he might dismiss a biting bug. There would be plenty of opportunity to rumble in the coming months he was sure.

Anaia Lieris
Anaia was uncomfortable with the turn of events. A third wolf had showed up, and she seemed to be in the same pack as the male. Not only that, but the wolf closest had noticed her wound. “I… I got caught in an avalanche. It’s nothing.” She shifted back on her haunches a little bit, noticing the other wolf moving closer.

He seemed friendly enough, but he was also much larger than Anaia and not injured. He even seemed to be trying to put her at ease. When he spoke, his voice cracked with a puppy-ish squeak, though he seemed to be trying to hide it. He’s not that much younger than me! The small wolf realized, slightly relaxing.

“Oh, um.” Her friendly manner was starting to take over. “Well, I don’t want to be a burden…”

Saradathia Kethian
Saradathia glanced between Odin and and the tawny colored wolf. Both were larger than her, heck, most of the wolves, scratch that, all of the wolves she has met so far have been larger than her. At first it had made the small arctic wolf nervous, but now, after being around Craw for a couple months, it wasn’t so bad. Her eyebrow rose at the other white furred wolf’s comment about avalanches. It seemed, maybe they had been from the same region? The yearling was somewhat familiar with the perilous force of nature.

“An avalanche is not ‘nothing’, I’ve lost a couple good friends to them before.” She paused for a moment, thinking back to just how dangerous the arctic was now that she had a place much more pleasant to live. “You escaping with just a broken leg speaks wonders about you, please, our medic can at least look at you.” She had to bite her tongue on inviting the white wolf into the heart of the Monadnock, she wasn’t sure how Craw and Morganna would feel about that, but if they could bring Lorcan to her to get checked out it might be different. Mentioning the fact that she survived a avalanche with just an injured leg in the process could bode well for her if she had plans to try and stay.

Adelayde Artemieva
Keeping Odin and Ade's last meeting pretty vague as i can lol

Uncharacteristically, her chest rumbled out a low growl as the dark boy moved closer to her and the injured loner. On technicality, they were within no mans land, however, the borders of the Rye Fields were much closer than where that boy belonged. Following her last meeting with the boy and his bullying family, Adelayde was put on edge and her friendly mannerisms had to be abandoned for the moment as to not let her guard down for a second, foolish time. Though fighting, as it was proven was not her best skill, Ade may have a better chance with only the boy and his small pack mate. Only if it had to come to that, again.

The tawny Rye wolf only turned an ear and glanced at the white girl as she explained her injury being caused by an avalanche. Adelayde has never seen much of an avalanche besides seeing one from a far distance back at her birth pack. But she never had been caught up in once. It wasn't often Ade traveled within the mountain range, she preferred her open fields and wide open spaces. She felt safe. Her mouth opened to respond, but her attention was pulled once again towards the Whitestone boy as he was sauntering closer to them. Luckily, the boy stopped before moving any closer to her or her pack lands. She let out the breath she didn't realize she was holding and turned her ear upon the loner as she spoke once again.

Her mismatched eyes narrowed as he tried to smooth her over with a friendly tug of a smile and a meager wag of his dark tail. Suppressing a snort at his efforts, she turned to the girl. "Hope you find what you need." With that she backed away slowly until she was plenty of feet away from her pack borders where she sat back on her haunches to watch the rest of the conversation take place within ear shot. If anything else arose she could be back to help if the Whitestone wolves ganged up on the injured girl,  but in all honestly the Rye wolves didn't have a medic to help the girl. Though she wasn't going to reveal that information to that boy.
