Fallen Tree Cove Maybe we can be friends?

Today was fairly uneventful thus far. The dark woman had actually woken up at a decent hour and began her usual routine. Get up, get a drink, do a patrol and or hunt and then relax for a while. The quick walk to the lake was done almost half asleep. The frigid water however was enough to chase off the last remains of sleep that held onto the young woman. As she drank she decided today was a good day for some fish. After her fill of water she walked a little ways down the shore. This morning was particularly gloomy with freezing fog hanging low. It was decently thick and inhibited one from being able to see very far in front of them. Moonshadow hoped that it would actually help her attempt at fishing by disguising her form over the water. Her large form moved through the fog towards the hole she kept open specifically for fishing. It was still a good size and The beta moved over the hole and peered down with silver eyes. She studied the water and saw several smaller fish swimming around. They were big enough to be a small snack but really not worth her effort when the water was as cold as it was. So she waited until a better option present itself.

Her patience was eventually rewarded. Shiny scales of a large fish gleamed through the water. Shooting her head down like a bullet the midnight pelted woman snatched the fish out of the hole. She tossed in up on to the bank and gave her head a good shake to get as much water off as possible. When she finished she moved over to the squirming fish. Picking it back up in her jaws she gave it a good shake to kill it. Once it was dead Moon walked over with her catch to a less rocky area where she could lay down and eat her breakfast in peace. While she ate her thoughts passed over her packmates. She thought of how good it was to see Namid doing well once more and with that she saw a visably more happy Vespertio. Her and Kajika had fixed their relationship and now promised to keep one another sharp. Draven seemed to be doing better, not as depressed, but the cause of his depression was still unknown to Moon. Neha was doing well in her studies she heard and Cernan was doing better with his social skills. She had met the new male Tagg and determined she like him. There was a new scent in the cove and the young woman concluded that there must have been another new comer. The scent was female and she had found it intertwined with Cernans. So she figured the newbie was being shown around and that she'd seek them out after they've become a bit more acquainted.

I'm sorry this took so long!

Eido's mind was still reeling after her talk with Cernan. She walked her way back, retracing her steps toward the lake. She wasn't positively sure why she felt like going back to the lake, but she knew that she didn't want to be in the den. It had brought back some unwanted memories and triggered something in her that had ruined her and Cernan's nice day exploring the territory. Shame burned her face as she remembered how she had just frozen up the way she did, and put the other yearling in a painfully awkward situation, and then she had dumped all of her buried, hidden issues on him in a rush. She really wished that she had just kept her mouth shut. Her paws carried her to the lake, and she stopped on the edge of the snow-covered ice with her muzzle angled toward the wind. It took her several moments to spot the large, black figure out on the ice - embarrassingly long, actually, but Eido had a lot on her mind and she was distracted. When she did see the black wolf, she tilted her head to the side and inhaled deeply, trying to get a read on who this wolf might be. She caught the same scent that Cernan held; the same scent that Vespertio had placed on her own scruff. The sent of Fallen Tree Cove. The idea of meeting a new packmate so soon after screwing everything up with another was stressful, but the young wolf was not deterred. Dammit, she was determined to make at least one good impression on her first day. So, she started out across the ice, toward the black female. "Hello," she called, head and tail low as she approached.

It seemed like she didnt have to seek out her new packmate for a 'hello' passed through the air. Moon had been about half way through her meal when the greeting reached her. Looking up from the marine animal her mercury eyes rested upon a very pale ginger form approaching her. The female was smaller than Moon and younger as well. Take a sharp inhale it was clear that this girl was the newcomer whose scent the beta had crossed. Silver dusted ears pressed forwards and a warm smile grew on her inky maw. "Good morning" she greeted with a swish of her tail. "Are you hungry? You can have the rest of this fish" she offered nudging it towards her. If she was recently accepted then it wouldn't hurt for her to eat.

The dark woman noticed how timid the yearling looked as she approached. She wanted to make her feel welcomed hence why she offered to share her meal. The interaction with @Tagg had gone remarkably well and actually did more than she expected. She had been in high spirits since meeting with the russet hero and couldn't keep a smile off her face. "I'm Moonshadow. You can call me Moon if you'd like" she offered her name in hopes to relax the girl.
