What a stupid, stupid idea it had been to leave the cover of the trees. Teeth were clenched and bared in a wry grin as the snow whipped up around the red man, eyes squinting down to bare slits as he weighed up his options. Earlier attempts at digging a hold in which to bunker down in had been thwarted by the howling winds and fresh snow dumped faster than his slow moving legs could clear it and so he just kept putting one foot in front of the other, on, and on, and on.
Were his nose not so frozen, and the fresh dumping of powder not quite so deep, he might have recognised the scent of @Isuni, and all the other signs that hinted he was getting dangerously close to pack territory, but as it stood the only thing on this brutes mind was finding somewhere to get out of the wind and weather the storm.
The heavy man stepped forward and fell, unable to see the flat stone beneath the snow with such squinted eyes until he was on his back staring back up on it, suddenly out of the wind and the worst of the arctic blast. Arrow tried to stand but it was impossible to put weight on his leading foot, the one that had found empty air when he tried to step forwards. Cursing under his breath the wolf shuffled closer to the rock, curling up as best he could to conserve as much heat as possible. Eyes drifted shut and ears turned down against the storm. With any luck, he'd be able to sleep through what was left of it.
