Blood stained white fur, a few drops falling in the snow as she made her way through the thicket, her prey dangling limply from tainted jaws. It was exceedingly rare now, that the Woodland queen got to hunt, so when she'd spotted the rabbit tracks on her border patrol, she just couldn't resist. It had been a quick hunt, despite her rustiness, and she felt rather proud of her catch; An unfortunate animal, who's fur had just started to change. It would fill a nice spot in a nearby cache, unless of course she ran into one of her children first, in which case the small meal would quickly be gobbled up. The three of them ate like fiends, entering their last growth spurt, especially Flair seemed to never be full. Even if she made it to the cache, it was likely one of the three almost-yearlings would be the one to dig it out. The mother smiled to herself, proud of her brood and their appetite to boot.

Spring would be here soon. Even ankle-deep in snow and with the wind biting her nose, the shewolf could feel it in her body, the stirring of her internal clock. And the rest of the pack felt it too, she could sense the buzz, everyone more than ready for the change. Miccah was feeling a lot better as well, a warm tingle of joy and relief stirring in the wife's chest at the thought, soon he would be back to his full strength and leading the Woodlands alongside her once more; Just in time for spring..! Aideen would have chuckled aloud if her mouth hadn't been full of rabbit, the thought made her positively giddy. She wondered to herself how here first litter would handle becoming older siblings. She couldn't wait for the warm season to roll in!

Loosely set around the 28th of February... such a long time ago... sorry I took so long to get to this... @Aideen

The pale ghost moved trough the territoryGreetings was almost strange, wrong to be surrounded by so many trees. After all the grasp was located in mountains and the NotchGreetings A short growl left his lips as he shook his head. No, he would not think about it, he could not think about it. The notch was no longer his home, The black king had cast his judgment and he had failed the dark monarch. There was no getting around it, no hiding the truth that they had once again find the one person who meant the world to them. And when silence filled them, when even the mocking voice of IT was not around to be heard Gent's words echoed in their head. And they knew that he was right, they had left him when he needed them most. Weak, useless, traitor The voice was strong and a short whine escaped their lips as they picked up the pace. Their Path set for the border though soon they came across a trail where drops of crimson stained the snow. The scent wasn't wolf blood, and the lead females scent was locked in the wolf tracks. With a light huff, they change direction following her trail.

The Pale ghost found the woman by one of the pack's carcasses. She seemed a bit lost in thoughts and a light bark left their inky lips to warn her of their presence. A slight tilt of their head so that his good eyes was fully focused on her. "Greetings Miss.... Aideen right?" They said bowing their head in a show of respect but also as a formal greeting to his superior.

"Talking" IT.

please don't judge me for talking to my self, after all, you were the one who ruined me.

She made it to the cache, much to her own surprise. Most likely her children were off raiding one at the other end of the pack, but soon enough, this meal too would end up in their bellies, she was sure. Lowering her catch to the ground, the wolfess turned to clear away the sow and dig into the frozen treasure trove below. But before she could begin, a low woof drew her attention, eyes shifting in surprise to the pale figure approaching.

With a reserved smile, she returned his greeting, bowing her own head; “Zilas. Just Aideen, yes.” She looked at him with friendly, if cautious curiosity, lightly waving the tip of her tail. Despite having accepted him into the pack, the silvery boy was still mostly an enigma to her. He was quiet and mostly kept to himself, though of course he could just be shy, adjusting to all this newness. But she remembered the slightly odd way he had spoken when they met, and the uneasy feeling it had send over her. Determined not to judge too hastily though, Aideen had pushed aside her discomfort, and now she did so again, allocating it to the back of her mind where it would wait until she had gathered more information to put it together with.

Smiling kindly at the younger wolf, the queen waved her ears, inviting him to relax with an easy stance of her own. Voice gentle and cheery, she asked: “How are you? Are you settling in well?” She hoped that in time he would find a home in the Woodlands, as she had, but she knew that didn’t happen overnight. One thing she could do was get to know him, and help him to get to know the pack. As leader this was one of her most important roles, and one she took very seriously.
