RE: Hearthwood River, some sort of mild illness is going around. @Lekalta & other HR wolves welcome. Late Morning, Heavy snow, 20°F, -7°C

Sore, crusted lashes fluttered open so that his golden eyes could gaze out groggily from his usual resting spot beneath a tall sequoia tree. It took the agouti male a few moments to properly focus his vision, straining to see through the sleep which had formed at the corners of his lids. The first thing he saw was the blur of falling snow as it filtered down through the trees, and then the thick white blanket of it which had come to settle on the ground, to which Lorcan let out a groan in displeasure at.

Shifting slowly up into a sit, which turned out to be a bit of a task considering the awful aching of his limbs, Lorcan finally turned to gaze across to the eastern horizon. He had expected to be greeted with the warm glow of the sunrise, but instead was surprised to see nothing but bright cloudy skies. Pale brows furrowed then as he quickly realized that he had slept in later than he normally did. Another groan was released into the air as he pushed himself up awkwardly to his feet. He couldn’t just laze around all day, no matter how much his body protested. He needed to get to work.

Forcing himself to walk through the pain of his aching limbs, the agouti male made it as far as five trees further before he had to stop, for his head was spinning. Golden eyes clenched shut as he tried to steady himself, but that only made his temples throb. His muzzle wrinkled then and he stumbled over to the nearest tree trunk, feeling rather dizzy and disorientated. Slumping down to in a splay of limbs beside it, the agouti male barely managed to catch his bearings before another symptom of the sickness struck him. A loud sneeze echoed through the trees of Hearthwood and Lorcan let out a final groan of acceptance.

He was sick.

Lekalta Baranski

She had slept beneath one of the tall redwoods earlier in the morning -- the snow had blanketed her, and despite having her nose firmly tucked beneath her tail to favor her body warmth, shivers had found her instead. Her slender body trembled, and with each passing moment as she fell in and out of a restless sleep she could feel herself feeling worse.

It was only when daylight finally stole across the entirety of Hearthwood River that Lekalta accepted her fate and rose to her paws. Her entire body ached, and she released a sneeze -- her throat remained raw, and with a gentle whimper, the girl tried to stride toward the borders as quickly as she could. With three pregnant she-wolves within the pack lands, she absolutely did not want to spread whatever she ahd to them -- and it was a quiet realization that she had that she was not yet ready to seek out @Lachesis yet, even for herbs.. not when one of those pregnant she-wolves carried his children.

Perhaps, had she not run off to mend her thoughts and heartache of her deceased father, it would have been her carrying his unborn children.

The thought itself caused her heart to twinge, though she refused to stop and dwell on it. Lilya could have him -- he had never been hers, anyway. So with what she thought was great purpose, Lekalta stumbled toward the borders, her own paws pausing once in awhile as she fought off dizziness -- and in her haste and disorientation, completely missed the presence of the tawny male beneath one of the trees -- and just so happened to sneeze at the exact moment he did as well.Blinking, she spun, her apple green eyes taking him in only for a second before her disorientation caught up to her -- and down like a heavy tree the girl went, bumping her chin in to the forest floor and eliciting a yelp in the process.

Inna Baranski

When she’d woken Inna noticed that her nose was a little runny, she could deal with that. Using her paw she wiped at it before she crawled out of her den noticing the rate at which the snow was falling. As she rose her swollen body to it full height she realized it was a little more than a runny nose as a wave of dizziness took her over to the point she had to lean against the nearest tree until it passed. Inna wondered if it might be part of her pregnancy but also worried that it might not be.

Just as she pushed herself off the tree to continue her way to the cache to get something to eat. The thing was wasn't even that hungry and in fact her stomach felt little upset do as she looked at the food that was available she realized she didn't want any of it. She decided that I'd she felt better later she would eat so turned to return to her den. A moment later she changed her mind thinking she should see either Lachesis or Lorcan in case she wasn't sick from her pregnancy.

Just as she went to look for one of the healers a sneeze wracked her body causing her dizziness to return. Once again she braced herself against a tree until it passed. Before it had the loud sound of another sneeze reached her ears, someone else was sick too it seemed. When the save of dizziness passed Inna went looking for who the sneeze belonged to. It didn't take her long to come across her sister and a few feet away was Lorcan.

Inna went to Lekalta first nudging her cheek, “Kalta, are you okay?” She asked before he gaze fell on the the father of her children, ”Lorcan can you please come help?” She almost pleaded with him just before another sneeze shook her body once more forcing her to sit down in the snow next to her sister.

Sorry for the wait @Lekalta & @Inna

Dark lashes slowly blinked back the tears which had gathered in his eyes as he’d sneezed, and which now blurred his vision, giving a small sniff before he glanced around. Russet ears pushed back against his skull as his golden gaze suddenly came to almost completely focus on a figure which stood directly in front of him. He caught sight of her apple green stare for just a second before her form crumbled down in a splay of limbs and her chin fell to collide firmly with the compact sheet of snow. He pressed his eyes shut, to save himself going blind from the light spray of snow which erupted off the ground with the weight of her impact, and opened them again just after he’d heard the female yelp.

Lorcan stared at her, pale brows pulled down into a concerned frown as he waited for a moment to see if she would get herself back up, but before the young female could lift a paw a familiar dark figure had rushed in to tend to her. Nostrils flared as the agouti male inhaled a deep breath of air, something which was more of a struggle that day considering the fluid which ran from his nose. He inhaled enough air to recognise the wolf to be Inna. Great. Just the female whom he had been trying his best to avoid. Groaning quietly, Lorcan watched her as she desperately nudged the other female…as he remained there on the floor in a haphazard heap of his own.

The agouti male would have been quite content to lay there and watch the scene in front of him play out, for his limbs ached too much for him to bother wondering any closer, but then Inna went and pleaded him to help and a moment later sneezed herself. Golden eyes narrowed and his frown deepened as he stared at them both, wondering if they were both experiencing the same symptoms he was or if this all was just some massive coincidence. He supposed he had better find out, even if it meant killing himself in the process, he couldn’t let the wolves of Hearthwood suffer with an illness – especially not the soon-to-be mother of his pups.

Struggling up onto his feet, releasing a few quiet groans as he rose up on to shaky limbs, Lorcan stumbled like a newborn deer over to the pair of females before he collapsed back down onto his ears haunches. Nudging the fallen female softly with his runny nose, Lorcan attempt to bury his nose underneath her neck to try and lift her back up. “You’re okay, come on, get up.” He ushered her, as he tried to lift his head up from underneath her. “Did you trip or…are you ill too?” He asked quietly as he lifted his head up and out from beneath her. His golden eyes then glanced up towards Inna too as he gave her a quizzical tilt of his head – before another sneeze rattled through his body, causing more liquid to ooze from his nose.
