The future was so insecure, there was no saying what might happen tomorrow, or the day after. But right in this moment they were here and they were happy, and worrying would do nothing to change what might come later. The little girl was smiling so brightly, utterly unknowing of the hurt the world could offer, still too young to even think about the future. The mother wished she could make that bliss last forever; Well maybe here, we can keep a little piece… She beamed lovingly down at her daughter, lowering her muzzle to plant a soft kiss on her crown, sealing their mutual promise. Pulling back up, Aideen chuckled at seeing her pups heavy eyelids, followed up by the tight yawn. "And now I think it's about time we get you home to sleep," She said, with a soft smile. Then she gently urged the girl forwards with a paw, reaching down to further nudge with her muzzle. They would return here, many, many times, just the two of them, as she'd promised. Though she doubted the blissful place would remain hidden for long, the ripening berries sure to draw others in as it had herself and her daughter. Word count: 201 "Speech" Thoughts |
