Triell Tainn
The Tainn longed to reach the borders. To make up for lost time. To figure where Reiko had gone. How Treyah fared. See his new children thriving. What about Kerberos....Maera...Leotie?

Where was Naira? He'd been trying to follow her scent. Hopeful even. But, he was not even close to the heart of the Draw, an despite the overcast of clouds he felt like he was burning up. His old wound once again wanted to make him crumple up in a pile for all the ground he had covered. Frustration threaded itself through his insides, forcing a low growl to churn in his throat.  Whatever this was he was adamant about beating it. Like the stubborn, and persistent man he was he pushed his body to take a few more steps before dropping to his haunches. He would take rest, but only for a moment. As was habit he pulled in a long breath, trying not to let his focus ebb from the simple action. He was beyond restless. Fear, and failure constantly whispered. What if, what if?

A blink of his gaze he rose, forcing onward, still not sure what he was accomplishing. There was plenty he wanted to do, but hope didn't count for much. Did it ever? Fiery eyes scanned the blackened trunks, zipping along the bright green that surged beneath them. But, he did not see anyone to help steal away his misery. Instead it was  a scent of food that tugged at his stomach, his weary body and mind. Starving himself would prove nothing. A sigh of defeat, he stepped over to the cache. The scent of its maker making him feel guilty all over again. None the less he began shuffling the dirt aside. One thing at a time.

Kerberos Rigel

His strides were long but slow as he took his time working around the Draw. Checking on all the little things to make sure that all the bigger things would run smoothly. A certain scent filtered through the air, one that he was more used to smell in the den than he was out here. So his speed picked up to a brisk trot to close the distance. Maybe it was out of worry or eagerness, he wasn't exactly positive.

Pale yellow eyes spotted the large dark Tainn. Kerberos slowed down his pace until he halted a few feet away, his tail swayed easily behind his form. Even if they had switched roles a bit ago the Rigel man still respected Triell beyond belief. "Triell," His voice was soft and kind as he waited to see how he would react. The tawny male was truly hoping his friend wouldn't mind some company. It had been a good bit since Kerb had properly interacted with Triell. "It's good to see you out and about." A smile tugged on his features as he slowly lowered himself into a sitting position. It truly was good. The male out and about, looking mostly well and looking for something to eat.

He wondered what had been going on in the mind of his older friend. Had he been noticing the on goings or was he in the dark about them? Perhaps Kerberos would save the bad topics for a later day.

Triell Tainn
It was the sound of foliage being disturbed that drew his ears back, forcing him to pause in his efforts. He shifted enough to look for his company, when his eyes soon came to rest upon Kerberos. His dark tail remained down, but steadily beat. The workings of a grin finding its way on his dark muzzle. He was happy to have company, and now would not need to search for Kerb. The Tainn dipped his head to merely say hello in turn. Hoping the gesture was inviting, and neutral considering their places had swapped.

"It's nice to be out," he agreed, still a little disoriented. Even that feeling was dissipating out here in the sunshine, and open air. Where he could begin again to find normalcy, to be taking care of himself at least. Why there might be a shift in dynamics, Triell would keep it in his frame of mind. Mostly, he  was simply happy to see his friend. He had been taking care of things Triell should have been, and he uttered no single complaint.

As the younger man sat, the dark wolf pulled some more dirt out of the hole. Careful where it was going, and how much more he needed to remove. He was eager to know details of everything that had been going on. But, he took a moment to collect his thoughts, finding the digging eased his mind. "How are things?" He asked, briefly letting his fiery gaze shift to Rigel. "More importantly, how are you doing?" They were all family, but Kerberos had not just taken the role of leader, but father.
