Greer Archer-Lyall

I am, mostly…

He frowned, his brows pinching together as he studied his younger sister. She spoke softly, elaborating on her previous words and causing Greer’s ears to fall against his skull. Guilt formed a lump in his throat, causing his mercury gaze to fall to the space between them. The Archer’s had a tendency to wander, for the shadow’s age mates had disappeared at a young age; forging their own paths in the word as they left the willows behind. He seldom thought about them, mostly because he chose to believe that they were happy elsewhere and that death had not paid either of them a visit. Not like his parents.

His lips tightened over his teeth as his tail hung, limp, between his legs. “Greer sorry,” he responded after a pregnant pause, his voice barely above a whisper. He and Morganna had left the ridge to seek a life beyond the southern eden. The shadow wished he could have given his parents a proper goodbye before he followed his sister north. “Happy Willow survive,” he added as he raised his silver gaze once more, a sheepish smile sprawling across his dark features. Even though his parents had fallen Greer was happy to see the Ridge continue to flourish, even if their numbers were dwindling. He would visit soon—there were little Archer’s running around after all. He just hoped he was still welcome, even after he had fled for the north.

He was not expecting his sister’s response and took a startled step back, his eyes widening as she bumped into him. His plume immediately raised and wagged excitedly behind him, for his sister’s reaction was infectious. “Aurora Heights,” the alpha responded quickly, his tone much more relaxed as the words rolled off his tongue: “Rav see. Welcome always.” His legs vibrated with excitement at the idea of his silver sister meeting both his mate and his daughter—two things he was sure none of his family members ever expected him to obtain. “Daughter; Revon Archer.” It was when the name tumbled off his tongue that Greer realized how similar the little fox’s name was to Ravenna’s. Good, he thought absently to himself, his lips curling upward at the thought.

Ravenna Archer-Lyall
Sorry I suck! Time goes by so quickly. XD We can start a new thread where she meets Revon and Kyna?

Greer would say to his sister that he was sorry, that he was happy the pack had survived. It was enough to make Ravenna forgive him for the deed. Though she had wished he could have said goodbye to them all properly, instead of slinking off like the shadow he was, the deed was done now and there was no changing it. She would not, could not, hate her brother for the rest of her life for this. In the end, it would be his guilt and burden to hold for not being there when his parents were old and needed him most. Ravenna was there and because of this, at least she knew she had done the best she could have done. Now, Enoki was the pack's leader by Elettra's blessing and together the few members that remained tried to pick up the pieces Angier and Elettra left behind. Whether or not the pack was doomed to fail without those formidable leaders was yet to be determined, but the Archer-Lyall knew she would not go down without a fight.

Aurora Heights was the name of the pack which her brother and his mate had founded and he would continue with saying that she was always welcome and then in the litter they had created a single child - @Revon. Revon and Ravenna. Greer was not the only one to have noticed in these moments how similar the two girl's names were to one another. The name spoken made Ravenna smile deeply, watching her older brother's tail wave as wildly as her own, his body trembling with an excitement. He might have been a rather quiet wolf, his words clipped and soft. Though he was a man who was very 'too the point' which Ravenna enjoyed. He spoke what was needed. No little mind tricks like Skoll had often done. Though Skoll's children Ravenna had grown to love very much and she had no doubt this would be no different with Revon. Having grown along with Sven, only to play a part in little Attica's life and now the children of @Enoki, Ravenna's experience with pups was growing quickly.

If Ravenna was always welcome here, she would make sure that his pack and her own pack knew it. She would plead with her leaders for an alliance and hope to visit here as often as she could. For the time being however, Ravenna's only intentions were to meet the little girl and the woman who had brought Greer out of his little shell. "Lets go then."

yes that sounds good to me! short post to archive this <3 @Ravenna

Perhaps there were perks to being settled so close to his birth pack. Although his mother had passed there were still Archer’s lingering around the willows—Archer’s that he wanted his daughter to meet and become familiar with. As long as the pack continued to preserver and thrive, just as it had with Elettra at the helm, the shadow was happy. He had abandoned the pack alongside his sister and her silver mate, but only because the call of adventure had called to him, lulling him away from the forest he had grown accustom to. The bigger he got the more restless he became. Long before he had left with his sister Greer had already come to the conclusion that he would not remain in the Ridge for long. There was so much more he wanted to see and his heart, along with his legs, ached for lands he’d never seen before. Staying in Willow Ridge had never been an option… but he still wanted to see the pack succeed and his mother’s legacy continue. It pained him knowing that he had not been there in the end—that so much time had passed before he had managed to make a trip home.

Let’s go then. He offered her another smile, his plume still wagging triumphantly behind him as he beckoned for the silver wolf to follow him. Part of him worried that she would not like the scarlet wolf but he quickly dismissed the thought as soon as it entered his mind. It was impossible not to like Kyna. It was in that moment that he realized none of his family had met the scarlet mountain princess before. Unless he was unaware of a meeting taking place, Greer was positive that Kyna had only been acquainted with one Archer—him. Now that they had settled so close to the Ridge that would change. He hoped.

With another flick of his nose the shadow retraced his steps back to the Heights, the smile never once wavering from his dark lips… Fade.
