Lachesis "XIX" Stark
AW! | rain, morning
RE: Lachesis, take cover from the rain!

The sun had barely begun to surface over the horizon when Lachesis slunk away from the Kingswood, his long, pale legs carrying him quickly over the forest floor. The air was cool, a sign that autumn was on its way, and a fog hung low to the ground. Dew covered the ground, causing the grass to squish between his toes, but his pace did not slow. Lachesis preferred to do his patrols in the early morning, touching up the border markers without being disturbed by one of his subordinates or a loner. It was after scent-marking that the ghost would disappear into the trees, sometimes seeking out the scent of a loner or in pursuit of solitude. He was not sure what he was looking for this morning, but the call of the lake south of Hearthwood was too strong to ignore, and XIX soon found himself wandering along the western edge.

As he neared the edge of the lake the clouds above him darkened, causing his brows to pinch together and his nose to lift to the sky. He was greeted by a raindrop falling directly between his eyes. He blinked and drew his head back, a scowl painted across his pale features. Of course it would rain. Lachesis did not have the best luck. There was a rumble above him just before the sky decided to open up, rain cascading around him. Reluctantly the male retreated to the tree line, his ears tipped backward as he watched the steady fall of rain plummet onto the smooth surface of the lake. Last time he had encountered the rain at the lake he had endured most of the rain at the water’s edge, but he was interested in developing a cold. Last time he had escaped the downpour with only a few days worth of sniffles. He did not want to risk getting sicker this time around and potentially passing it on to his family.
