Aegir waited as quietly and as patiently as he could manage for his Ma's response. Come on come on, fishing was hungry work! He deserved a prize, a reward for being such a good boy!
Much to his delight his Ma gave him the go ahead and he couldn't help but yip for joy. Yes yes yes! Fish was one of his favourite things to eat, so yummy and filling. And apparently so easy to catch as well! In time Aegir would learn that it had simply been beginners luck, but as of then he thought he was the fishing champion. And oh would he eat like a champion!
Bending down, Aegir licked his lips in anticipation. He was a growing boy, for sure, but he would only eat the fish he'd caught. His Ma could eat her own, after all dinner was best with good company. And his Ma? She was the best of the best!
"Eat yer's, I eat mine."
As sneaky as he was, Aegir would never steal from his Ma. He'd reserve that for other folk, those who weren't within his family circle. What, he couldn't be nice to everyone. That sounded like a lot of work.
Pressing hard down on the fish, the Little Dragon bent down and began to gobble at it with the appetite of a dragon that had been sleeping for years and years. Today had been a great day and honestly a yummy meal with his Ma made it all the more better. What else would happen next? Aegir could only wonder and wait and see.
