Solas ColdHeart
OOC: Backdated to 2-3-18

He had slipped out of the territory again and once more returned to the willows. Solas wanted to get to know the area better than he already did and once that was done he would do the same to the other side of the mountain. There wasn't any clouds, no wind, and there seemed to be no one around except for the stupid coyote that was standing in front of him and trying to challenge him.

It bared its fangs and let out a high pitched snarl before snapping it's jaws at him. Solas simply stared at it as his hackles rising. Just what was it's problem? Didn't it know that it could die if it didn't back off or was it protecting its mate or something? Lips slowly curled up to reveal fangs as a low growl rose from his chest. If it thought it could scare him it was wrong oh so very wrong. A single menacing step forward and the coyote danced back but it didn't stop its snarling or yapping. A bunch of noise coming from something that should have closed it mouth and ran as soon as it had seen him.

Having had enough Solas lunged forward his jaws snapping shut a hairsbreadth from the coyote's shoulder, but it had moved in time to avoid the attack. Then it whirled and raced off but the stormy male wasn't about to let it go that easily and raced after it not bothering to try and hide his presence as he ran.

Sven Archer
the devil is & always will

It was the coyote's angry yipping that drew the man closer to the mountain than he truly wanted to be. He was still not about to relinquish any part of the forest, but Sven also knew that now would not be the time to piss across the paws of any wandering Height's wolves. Stubborn and abrasive he might be, the wolf wasn't as stupid as some thought him to be. A rival in winter (and with mating season on the horizon), however, could not be ignored. He needed to know too what was upsetting the lesser canine so.

Sven saw them running before he melted into action. A wolf he did not recognize and who smelled only vaguely familiar, but he didn't have the time to sift through memories and place a paw on exactly why. There was no hesitation to decide what needed to be done; regardless of whether the coyote had actually committed any kind of wrong or not, it would be swiftly exterminated. Its kind should know better than to step paw in the Willows.

Surging forward, he cut across at an angle through the snow. His goal was to cut the beast off, using the chasing stranger to aid him in entrapping it. Once it was within his reach, he could quickly find its throat and end its life.

be a gentleman.

Solas ColdHeart

The smaller canine was faster than it looked and Solas was getting more ticked by the minute. Because not only was it staying just out of reach it seemed to be doing it on purpose. He would have growled at it but he was more focused on keeping pace as it weaved in front of him. He knew a pack resided here so hopefully, the creature didn't cross their borders because then the chase would be off. Solas wasn't going to trespass so easily but until then he was going to burn the creature out. That's what Solas was thinking anyway until a large pale form moving quickly through the trees caught his attention and a hard toothy grin found his face.

Another wolf had joined the hunt.

No more running around blindly after it he was going to guide it with snapping fangs towards the other male. If they were lucky then he would be able to grab hold of the pest and put it out of its misery before it realized what had happened. The thought had Solas pushing himself to run a bit faster as he directed the annoying creature towards the pale form. It was not the coyotes lucky day.
