Tulip DayHeart
OCC: For @Solas  <3 Set for late morning
Date: 2-21-18

Tulip awoke with glee, happy to start a new day amongst her Cove wolves. @Moonshadow had been given the girl more freedom to roam it seemed, not actually saying so, but the woman had been leaving her alone at times. The girl would be saddened sometimes when she awoke without the ebony woman, but she was also relieved to be beside herself for a little bit. Today seemed to be one of those days as Tulip's eyes opened wide, her tail thumping as she looked about herself. She shrugged the lack of presence of her alpha off and got started about her day.

She went about their normal schedule, starting down by the lake for a cool drink before traveling to the outskirts of the pack. Dutifully she patrolled the land before veering in towards the heart. By luck the girl had came across a rabbit in her path. Carefully she snuck up on it, moving towards the wind as not to allow her scent to be discovered. Coming from behind the rabbit the girl moved with great speed and managed to land a grip on it within seconds before giving a good shake. She sat the prey beneath her, paws securing it to the ground, as she made sure to snap it's neck.

Carrying her prize back to towards the den to show Moon ecstatically, her banner waving in pure excitement, "Ooon! Ooon! Rab!" Her voice muffled by the fur between her teeth. The girl came to the den to see that Moon wasn't there. So she sighed and looked around herself. The girl headed back towards the lake, traveling down the pack's well worn path. A late breakfast would go great with a lakeside view before the girl went on another patrol. Perhaps today she could talk @Kajika into letting her tag alongside him.

OOC: That title had me laughing <3

Most days he woke up early. Most days he was out of the den before the sun had even risen. Today wasn't most days. The stormy male had actually slept in oblivious to the others leaving as they woke. It hadn't been a conscious decision but he had gotten back late last night due to hunting and now he could feel the sun pleasantly warming him as he eyed the opening of the den. Did he want to get up today? Not really. Would he? Yes, he would.

The sound of paws on the ground made his ears prick. He didn't think that anyone would be coming in to check on him but he listened anyway. Tulips excited words filtered to him and the stormy frowned a bit. Her voice was rather distorted. Was she having more trouble speaking today or was she actually carrying something? Knowing he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep he let out a yawn before getting up to stretch. He might as well see what had the other wolf excited.

Slipping out of the den he saw that Tulip was already walking away and down the path towards the lake. He could see the rabbit swinging back and forth in front of her as she walked. She must have caught it and wanted to show it off. A small smile spread on his lips at the thought. Curious as to what she was going to do with prize now and because he wanted a drink Solas followed her. He hung back but all the same, he followed the same trail that she did. When the lake did come into sight he sped up a bit to brush past her and reach the shore where he would break the thinning ice to get a drink.

OCC: Lol, good! Me too <3

Tulip plodded down the path practically prancing, she was ever so coltish with her movements. Her tail swooshed merrily behind her, head held up a little higher than normal. Surely Moon would be happy with the girl for catching the little critter. The thought had her smiling awkwardly with the rabbit's scruff firmly in her mouth. Then the idea of Kajika's reaction had her expression nearly doubled.

For a moment the girl had froze to look around, had she heard something? No. It had to be her imagination, and if not maybe Moon! She looked side to side for her alpha, but still nothing. The silly yearling didn't think to look behind herself, once more thoroughly concerned with her rabbit and the lake. Without warning Solas rushed past the girl not a moment later, his dark pelt brushing past her, tall frame causing the girl to teeter for a moment with a frightened yelp. The rabbit fell from her jaws, the girl cowering in response. Tulip had mistaken the quick movements for reprimanding, but as yellow eyes landed on him they narrowed into slits.

"Olas!" The girl shouted in annoyance, a tsking sound leaving her lips. Never letting her eyes stray from the man she picked up her rabbit and trotted up besides the dark wolf. Ever so careful she sat it down away from him, even taking the measures to push it to the side with one paw, before joining Solas for a drink. She couldn't help but to peer at him while doing so, her look ever so untrusting. She even huffed at him between gulps.

"Why scare Tulip?" The girl finally demanded, droplets of water trailing off her chin. Her posture was not dominating in any way, on contrary she was submissive. The girl was holding herself low, tail tucked, her head held rightfully so. She just wanted answers to why Solas was such a grumpy man and why he annoyed her so darn much. What was it about him that got under her skin so easily!

After he had brushed past her she had flinched and rather spectacularly at that but he didn't pause. He wanted a drink not to force her to submit. He hadn't had anything all day and is throat was rather dry. One ear flicked back in surprise as she shouted at him. He didn't turn back towards her not because he was ignoring her but because he didn't want her to see the faint grin that had spread across his face. He didn't think that would go over so well with her especially since she was already irked with him.

As he lapped at the water she came up beside him and he noted with even more amusement that she pushed her rabbit away from him. He wasn't going to take it from her but the thought of grabbing it just to see what she did crossed his mind. The stormy male moved to the side so that she could join him in getting a drink and when he was done he backed off so that she could finish. So far all her looks towards him were wary and untrusting. Was he that bad of a guy in her eyes? Did he even care? He wasn't sure on the last one but he figured that from her looks he did look like a bad guy to her.

She spoke or rather to demanded to know why he had scared her. I wasn't trying to scare you. He told her honestly. If I had been I would've nipped your tail instead. Like that would have gone over that much better. Also you don't need to be submissive. At least not around me. He had told her this once before and he would keep telling her until she finally stopped.

OCC: No idea why it's all bold, sorry :/

Tulip noticed as he moved over some to let her drink, taking note in her mind. Perhaps he didn't like to be too close to other wolves then? The girl wondered if she could make him as uncomfortable as he seemed to like making her. His teasing would be met with retaliation, that was for sure. The girl listened to his explanation, frowning when he told her that he would've nipped her tail! The girl looked at her tail for a moment before reconnecting with her stare down of Solas. So rude! Tsking at him again she began to speak with a harsher tone, "Why bite tail?"

The dark furred man asked her to stop being submissive again. The girl thought over the concept for a moment, but it occurred to her that it annoyed him. That's what she wanted right? Yes, but, perhaps she'd give him a small victory. It's not like he could or would walk very far with a small victory. Right? The girl saw no harm in relenting to him, not to mention she wouldn't have to worry about any leg cramps or stiff muscles. So the ebony girl moved away from the lake with rabbit in tow, the limp critter swaying with her movements.

Smirking, the girl nodded her head. Straightening herself out she stretched her hind legs in exaggeration before standing tall. Despite standing in full height Solas still towered the tiny she-wolf by far. Cautiously, eyeing him per usual, she ripped a leg off of the rabbit and walked to him. Every fiber of her was nervous and jittery, but the ebony yearling did her best to hide it. Her tail lashed about, not quite a wag due to the stiffness. Coming close to him she attempted to bump his shoulder with hers -hoping the contact would irritate him back- before sitting down. *Gosh, I'm tiny* Tulip thought as she looked up at Solas, her heart beating fast within her tiny chest. The rabbit drumstick remained in her jaws until she set it down and nosed it towards his front paws. <bc>"Breafa?" She chipped, her failed attempt at saying breakfast not a problem to the girl. Getting back up she tried to bump his shoulder another time, making the girl feel even more nervous, before walking back to the rest of her prize.

How was that supposed to make him uncomfortable when it made her, if not equally so, more uncomfortable! This man was so irritating! She couldn't seem to find no upper ground. The girl had sat so annoyingly close that their fur touched ever so slightly, meant to bother him not her! She had bumped him to annoy him, yet here she sat feeling flustered. The girl huffed and drew her attention to the rabbit, nibbling some here and there, but not really eating much of it at all.

OOC: Check the coding in your second post I think that's causing it.

He had moved over so that she could get a drink without him infringing on her space. she obviously didn't trust him and he wasn't going to push the boundaries with her. Of course, it seemed like everything he did toed that line. When he mentioned that he would have nipped her tail she frowned and looked at the appendage before returning to glare at him. What? He had been honest so why was she giving him such a dirty look. She wanted to know why he would have bitten her tail and her tone was less than pleasant. Solas's eyes narrowed a bit.

You hadn't seen me yet and if I had grabbed your tail you wouldn't have known who was behind you until you turned around. It was the most obvious thing, at least to him. If you wanted to scare someone you tried to keep them from seeing you until you were already there and trying to surprise them. I didn't have any intention of scaring you though.

At his request to stop submitting she seemed to think about it and then think about it some more. It wasn't that hard of a request so why wasn't she making a decision about it? Did he actually have to ask again? He watched as she snagged the rabbit and walked away from him. She nodded her head then and with an obvious stretch she stood. Even with that, she was still small compared to him. It seemed like if they weren't large then the wolves in this pack were small. There didn't seem to be any in between.

Solas watched her warily as she tore off a chunk of her rabbit and walked back over to him. Part of him wanted to see what she was up to and part of him wanted to back off. Instead, all he did was an awkward shifting on his feet. She was still getting closer to him and even though her tail was wagging rather stiffly behind her he couldn't help but wonder what was going on that head of hers. Then she brushed against him and he blinked in surprise. What? Why was she touching him when she had made it obvious to see that she didn't trust him.

All he could do was blink at her as she set down the part of the rabbit she was carrying at his paws before bumping into him again as she walked away. All that did was baffle him. Had he missed something in this exchange? Because he was pretty sure that just moments ago she had been yelling at him. So what was all this? Why was she giving him breakfast? Then after all that, she went to eat her meal and actually looked more annoyed than she had before.

To say he was confused was putting it rather lightly.

Umm, thanks. He said his tone as confused as his expression. He had definitely missed something, but what?

(Fixed it! Thanks <3 Sorry for late reply. This thread is cracking me up...)

Like that made it any better! Some excuse. While Tulip could understand the tactics once explained and see it on that paw, she couldn't get the idea of the unneeded fright and possible pain out of her mind. The girl sneered at him with an eye roll, then heavily sarcastic, "Ouch." She spoke as if implying something to a child who needed things laid out clearly. The idea of such causing her to smirk at him.

Tulip loved the look of confusion on the dark man's face, but he didn't seem annoyed. Perhaps the girl had read too much into him moving away earlier. Maybe, just maybe, he was actually being nice to her by creating room. She tossed the thought around in her head before a heavy embarrassment warmed her cheeks. The girl tried to keep a sheepish expression off of her face as she finally took a real bite of her rabbit. The sweet taste of meat drawing the yearling's eyes away from @Solas for a moment before she decided she wasn't really all that hungry. The ebony girl laid down in the snow with a huff, front paws crossing and her bloodied chin resting on her paws. While the girl wanted to do her boarder patrol, she also wanted to find ways to get under Coldheart's skin the way he did hers.

Tulip didn't mind sharing her breakfast, and would have probably done it even if she hadn't had alterative motives. It meant she didn't heave to eat alone, and her pack mate wouldn't be too hungry either. Win win situation. She looked at him sighing, letting her tail thump lightly on the ground, "Welcome". That didn't mean she was suddenly happy though, oh no, the girl was still hot and bothered. She was still jittery and nervous, somewhat giddy even. So pesky.

The Day wolf watched him, curious to why he irritated her so. He was just a tall dark furred wolf with vibrant golden eyes, nothing special or like anyone she had ever met before. Well, his eyes were special she supposed. Rather captivating actually, but what did that have to do with anything? He was a nuisance. He was worried she'd steal from other packs and suggested a hunting lesson for goodness sakes! Thankfully though, the male had relented his teasing for the moment and hadn't offered any crude remarks. Instead he actually admitted he didn't mean to frighten her..that was...Nice? Nevertheless Tulip was sure she'd get a little heat from her taunting. The again, maybe not...possibly Solas wasn't so bad and she was just overthinking and being overly critical of him.

OOC: You're fine and same here. :3

After he had finished explaining how he could have scared her she rolled eyes and gave him a mocking smile. He hadn't actually done it. Not one of his teeth had touched her but she was reacting as if he had done it. Maybe he should. Just to see what she would do. He hadn't completely decided until she told him 'Ouch' her tone telling him that he was a child in her eyes. A rather stupid child at that. He was older than her and she thought that he was the child? Fine if she wanted childish he would be childish.

He watched as she took a few nibbling bites of her meal while he ignored the piece that she had given him. He was hungry since he hadn't eaten anything yet but he had his plans to put into action. If she noticed she didn't say anything but she did let him know that he was 'Welcome.' She wouldn't be saying that to him in the next few seconds. Because he was waiting for her to get distracted either by her thoughts, her meal, or something else. It didn't happen since she was eyeing him and he decided to just go with because to be honest, the worst he would get was either fangs to flesh or more yelling.

Deliberately and slowly placing each step he walked over to her his head low. He didn't say anything because he didn't want her running away quite yet. However, Solas's lips drew back into a grin the only indicator that mischief was on his mind. But then he always grinned so why should that make wary?

When he finally reached her he continued as if he was going to walk by her then stopped so that he could swing his head over and nibble between her shoulder blades. His lips created a barrier between his teeth and her skin so that there would be no way for him to hurt her. He did that for a few moments and then he pulled his head back and mocked lightly in ear. Ouch.

(Quick post before bed <3 Oh Tulip and her crazy emotions, she thinks too far into things...)

Lemon orbs followed precise paw steps with intent, mind ticking and turning, the girl slowing her chewing to a gradual stop. She was hypnotized by his movements, questioning his motives as he drew near to her. However, Tulip let it slide once the assumption of him heading back to the den occurred to her. Shrugging the yearling figured it was no big deal until she looked back to where he had been. She was only mildly offended that he had declined her offering of the rabbit leg. Well...actually, she was a little more than mildly offended, but that was just stupid...

A loud shocked squeal came forth from the girl, her body surging forward. The sensation between her shoulders odd and completely unexpected, not to mention a bit ticklish. His whisper sending a tremor of chills down her spine. Regaining herself the girl glared for a moment, then her lip quivered. Her mask was breaking. Her eyes grew bright, lips twitching some more. The girl tried to hold back the beginnings of the sound, tried to choke it out, but before long it came forth like a roar. Tulip giggled loudly, her laughter so hard that it brought tears to line her lids. Why was this so funny? It really wasn't...but, for some reason it was. "No fair!" She said still struggling through her girlish giggles.

A small paw came forth to try and push at his muzzle, the girl jokingly repeating the word, "Ouch.

Then the realization hit her, she was laughing with him and actually enjoying herself. He really wasn't that bad of a wolf was he? Oh great, she wasn't all that mad with him now. He was still the wolf that was worried she'd steal from another pack. He had assumed the worst out of her, and the girl had found comfort in not receiving that from Ka and Moon. Tulip frowned at him, unsure of whether to let it go or not. "Olas...why...why don't you..." What was the word for it? The feeling. The inclination to something over something else, she couldn't find it among her vocabulary. Such a simple word it was. "Why no happy with I?" That wasn't quite what she wanted, the girl wanted to know why the man didn't like her. Yes, she stole, but did he really have to suggest a hunt because he expected the worst from her? Maybe she had it wrong. The girl was not sure but awaited his response nervously.
