The female had made some progress the few days she was within these lands. Beginning in an area full of densely wooded highlands, plenty of trees to lurk within. Her favourite part, despite being there only a short amount of time had to be the crags for some reason. Something about it drew her to them, perhaps the danger of slipping or a piece tumbling down over your head? The wolf could be a strange one, and some would find her unsettling even further than just outwards reactions towards things. It would appear that she was not to linger there any longer than she already had, for the girl had moved on and was now finding herself lingering within the northern territories of cold.

Shrouded by vines and vegetation, the dark-coloured female had hidden away, like the creeper she was. Laying down and behind some bushes to remain out of sight for a short while, for no particular reason. Sometimes the girl just like to lay in wait and see what came across her path, whether predator or prey. It was almost like a game, poking her head out when something seemed 'interesting' enough. The question now was, what would reveal itself to her today?

The large youth hummed quietly to himself as he walked along the rough path, snow crunching under his broad paws. His lungs burned from the mad sprint he had just completed, his brown furred prize swing from his jaws with every step. The still warm blood dripping into his mouth tempted Daesamar to just stop and devour the hare where ehs told, but this didn’t feel like a good spot. It was far too enclused for the yearling’s liking.

Oblivious to anyone lurking nearby, Daesamar paused when the path thinned out into a small clearing. He groaned softly as he flopped over, grunting when he hit the snow. He shifted, pulling himself onto his stomach, laying the dead hare down between his paws and glancing around before he closed his silver gaze, taking in the peace of the forest.

Patience would always bring you a reward of some kind, and today it would bring a familiar scent. The girl was content with where she lay, hidden by the bare vegetation that created a cocoon-like space. It was enough to allow her a decent field of vision, but what caught her first was her sense of smell. A combo on the air. She would take in a long and deep breath when the air shifted in her favor, bringing the strong metallic scent of blood and an underlying one of another wolf. Someone had made a kill. This would mean they were on guard and finding a safe spot to eat, or else she would have heard something be killed nearby.

Slowly she would slip from her hiding spot, remaining low to the ground and allowing her paws to sink into the snow just enough to where it would not give her away. Ears remained forward, just slightly angled to the side as she listened to anything. But as she turned the corner, something interesting would happen. Her eyes went wide, amber gaze falling upon a dark male that looked all too familiar. Daesamar. The tip of her tongue would slip forward, barely making it past dark lips before being sucked back into the confines of her mouth. This would be okay, she could approach him since he was not a stranger.

Rising to her full height the girl would glance around briefly before moving forward, this time not attempting to hide but still treading lightly across the snow. She would come head on, tail hanging calmly behind darkened thighs. Stopping once she was just a few feet away from the boy, giving a sharp exhale to make her presence known as well as sticking her tongue out like he once did when they last and first met.

OOC here!

Something disturbed the soft hypnotic lull of the forest’s peaceful soundscape, that had been the first indicator that something was amiss around the massive yearling. His second clue came in the soft explosion of air fro nearby. His crooked ear flicked, or flopped in the direction as his silver haze opened. Oh shit, he flinched, a soft squeak of surprise escaping as the easily startled youth was greeted with a earthen colored form seemed to appear mere feet away.

Daesamar drew his head back in surprise, until the scent reached his nostrils, causing them to flare slightly as he took it in. It was a familiar scent, from one of the wolves whose company he had partially enjoyed last time. A pleasant grin stretched across ash streaked muzzle as a quiet groan escaped. “One day, you’re gonna give me a heart attack.” he commented, before shifting on the snow, he scooted over, letting the somewhat warm  indention he had made be exposed “Wanna join me? It’s kinda warm now.” he said, not wanting her to sit on just the cold ground if he could help it. “You doing alright Pebble? Hungry?” he asked, before nudging the hare with his nose. It was scrawny, barely a meal for one wolf, but Daesamar would happily share it without a second thought.

Had the girl known more about emotions and gestures, she surely would have chuckled at the male's surprise for her sudden appearance. He did not catch on immediately, not until he had opened his eyes to see that another was standing before him in a spot that was just empty a second ago. A creepy and unsettling habit she had and would be difficult to break. But then again, if she learned more about these feelings, it would probably push her to continue this little thing. Finding a twisted little joy out of the unsettling feeling others get.

She would remain standing in place, neither baking away or coming any closer till the male deemed it okay. Simply watching with mild interest as it took him a few moments to realize who was accompanying him at this moment. Upon his smile and words, the girls ears would lift at his comment, feel good about her silence still catching others off guard. But he would shift in the snow, her amber gaze following him closely. Offering his warm spot for the female. Nostrils flared out in acceptance, the girl moving forward and twisting around at his side before sitting back on haunches.

Again she watched him, as though she couldn't survive without someone asking her a question or having her do something. Which she could do on her own. So when he asked if she was alright or was hungry, she would look down to the rabbit for a moment. Lowering her skull the girl would take a little sniff, but would turn it away by sitting back up and looking to the sky. He could have the hare, after all he had caught it and she would not be any trouble.

The large yearling’s smile broadened when she took up his offer and moved closer, he scooted over just an inch, not wanting to brush against her and cause any discom, ort, unsure how she might feel about another touching her. It was something he had thought about after last time, when he had nudged her on the Rouge Outcrop. He tilted his slightly when she sniffed at the hare but didn’t take a bite. Though he smiled He had hoped she might take him upon the offer. He wouldn’t,force it though, and the low rumble of his own stomach protested putting eating off any longer.

He looked up toward the sky, his silver eyes followed where her amber gaze turned, curious before he pressed a paw against the hare’s body and tearing a chunk out, he licked his lips before making short work of the meal. He took a moment to lick the blood away from his lips before glancing back toward his companion “So, you’ve been faring alright?”

Silence was the girl's friend, as the boy might have noticed quite a few times in their short meetings. But it didn't mean she was mindlessly staring off into the distance, she always had something formulating in her head. Like now. As Daesamar easily finished off the hare he would direct a question to the girl, and in turn she would glance to the male and dip her skull in a yes answer. But that was not it, the boy was growing but he didn't look like he was filled out. Skin and fur clung to places on his body where muscle and fat should have been stored, so with a paw she would step on the remainder of the finished rabbit and shift her gaze to the boy. Hungry. Still hungry? She couldn't vocalise these words, but with a tap to the dead animal she a motion of her skull off to the side, hopefully it would get her point across to him.

Daesamar smiled softly when his companion nodded yes, that she was doing alright. She may not be able to speak, but he had no intention of letting that be a wall between the two. If anything, he saw it as nothing more then another challenge, a barrier for them to try and knock down together. She nudged the remains of the hare. He blinked, eyes widening fearfully, had he misread something? Was she indicating that she had wanted some after all?

The yearling tilted his head in confusion, unsure what she wanted, she looked off to the side, an offer to hunt maybe. “You hungry Pebble? I’d be happy to catch something for you.” his offer was genuine, oblivious to the fact that she had been offering the very same thing.

There was a strange feeling the girl got when she observed the male's reactions to things she did. Like how his silver toned eyes widened when she had motioned towards the eaten rabbit, something along the lines of fear or simple panic. And it was ever changing. Quickly shifting into confusion with a tilt of his head as she motioned once more to the rabbit then off to the side in response. He did not understand she would assume. Continuing to question and make an offer for the girl. But that was not it. So she would have to try a little harder.

Again she lifted a paw and poked the little rabbit, then with her snout she would motion to him. Amber eyes looked to meet his gaze briefly, then trailed down his body as though asking him to follow. She was looking at his state of health, the way his fur clung to the body rather than fit around toned muscle and fat. He needed food more than she did. Lowering her skull now, the girl would tense up, then bite the rabbit. Trying to indicate her catching it. He needed more food, and she would be willing to do that for him.

He watched the strange display, she nudged the jhare’s mangled corpse, then gesturing toward him. At first, he thought she had wanted him to finish every bitek his mother had done something similar when he had been far younger. Next, her eyes seemed to trace his body, he wasn’t sure why, but the gestured caused a strange heat to build up inside his cheeks, he tucked his chin into the fluff of his mane in mild embarrassment, an old habit whenever he blushed.

“You...wanna hunt for me?” he asked, baffled, he wasn’t injured or sick, so he wasn't sure why she seemed to be offering it, it felt wrong to accept, not when he was still capable of catching meals himself. Though if he confessed the truth, he was still pretty shoddy at hunting. It was laughable sometimes, his luck seemed to be what landed him most of the meager meals he had been able to catch.
