Solas ColdHeart

She was watching him again her gaze searching. He didn't know what she was looking for, or if she was looking for anything. It did give him a chance to return the favor and look into her lemon yellow eyes as she scanned his face. He was aware that if it had been a dream to make her scream so it could only be a nightmare. A very bad one at that. Tulip seemed to agree with him when he mentioned as much with a nod. Then she was shifting again, changing her position and once again making him realize how close they were. As well as how her scent filled the air around him. Solas shifted as she licked under his chin with a whine before hugging him at his words. If he didn't know better he would think that she was trying to torture him but it was his fault that they were so close.

At his question, Tulip began to groom his neck fur and Solas remained frozen, letting her do as she wished. Lakoda. A wolf that he had never heard of and she explained that he was a bruda but not, frustration evident on her face. Solas could only assume that she meant brother. A brother that wasn't her brother. Why did that make him feel relieved? Relief would mean...He was not going to think about that now. When she wasn't so close he would but right now he wanted to figure out what Lakoda was to her.Adopted brother? He asked her with a slight tip of his head.

Any more words that he might have said were cut off as she shifted again with another whine. He closed his eyes as she pressed against his cheek a small shudder wracking his frame. He was going to need to back off if she kept this up. Before he did something they would both regret. Opening his eyes a moment later he found that she was watching him again before moving in close and then stopping. He could feel her breath against his face and the way she dropped her gaze from his.

Another shudder wracked him before he leaned forward the little bit that separated to touch his nose to hers. Ouch. He told her voice almost a whisper. Then he pulled back unsure as to why he said that particular word but knowing that he couldn't stay this close to her. So wriggling backward he pulled himself out of her den. Once free he took a few steps away wincing as his back complained. The pain was a good way to distract him and the fresh air helped to clear some of her scent from his nose.

Ignoring the dirt that clung to his pelt he sat down taking a deep breath before looking to her den. Was she going to come out now or was she going to remain hidden inside?

(I'm really struggling with muse, my apologies.)

Adopted...what a strange new word. Tulip's head turned slightly, thinking about it for a long moment, "Mabee". Tulip knew that she held no relation to Maria or Lakoda in terms of blood. Lakoda was just another pup stolen from his mother and father to grow up within the Extension. Another slave. Meaningless beyond their duties to serve the Silver Peak King. She sighed in discomfort, these thoughts plaguing her mind with unsavory memories.

A rush of cold followed by an intense warmth traveled down Tulip's spine making her shutter. Her itch seemed to be more present now, her breath hitched, heart seemingly skipping a beat. Their noses touched and for a moment all of her troubles were forgotten. The world was only his and hers, no one else mattered. For a brief moment. The symbolic word ouch caused a smile to creep upon leathery lips as lemon orbs danced with high emotions.

An expression or rejection came across her features as he pulled away, the yearling now deeply frowning. It hurt her, caused an unfamiliar pain within her chest. She felt an odd sense of betrayal and did not understand. Still she slunk from her den to peer at him in confusion. Him pulling away left her hesitant to approach, "Tulip do bad?" She asked, soft and feeble voice rising in shaky notes. She looked him over, how he badly needed a grooming, and sat down. She herself could use one, so nothing was said about it. Tulip simply waited for something to happen.

Tulip has a speech impairment that causes her to talk with a severe lisp and has selective mutism. I will not be writing her words to reflect this (outside of going mute), but ask those who roleplay with her to understand it's implied.

OOC: So sorry for the wait

She responded to his question with a maybe. So she didn't know for sure? Why did that bother him? It prickled along his spine making him antsy but he refused to think about it when she was this close and touching him. Once she had started it was like she couldn't seem to stop and it was slowly making him more and more aware of her. Her breathing hitched and he could feel his stop. He pressed forward so that their noses touched briefly saying their word. Then she smiled and he knew he needed to back off. He needed to back off now especially when he could feel her shuddering. How could he not? They were pressed close together and he would have to be completely oblivious not to notice it.

The expression on her face hurt but he couldn't go back to soothe her. He needed to clear his noise from her tempting scent and away from her since she seemed so willing to get close to him. He pulled away and sat down a little ways away. The fresh air and the pain in his back were all helpful he just wished he it hadn't hurt her.

An ear flicked as he heard her moving around and he glanced over to see her watching him with a confused expression on her face. She then asked if she had done bad and he let out a snort of amusement. No. He told her shaking his head. You didn't do anything wrong but ... Did she not know what could have happened? He looked at her. She just seemed confused and hesitant. Maybe she didn't. He was even more glad he had backed off then.

Being that close and with you smelling like that... He trailed off trying before simple spitting the words out. It might have lead to us breaking the rules that were put in place at the meeting. Hopefully, that would help put together what could have happened. Solas looked at his dirty paws unsure why he couldn't look at her at that moment.

(Its okay! :) )

Tulip felt a flash of anger as he snorted at her. Was this a joke to him? Why was he snorting at Her? Did he not feel the same she felt for him? She stepped forward a little, an expression of mixed emotions on her face. She hesitated for another moment then moved towards him as he talked. "But?" She asked, hurt in her voice. Big lemon eyes glassy as she stared into his goldens.

Smelling like what? She smelt horrible! Everything running through her mimd halted. His words left her mouth agape, a cold feeling along with the lump in her belly. Moonshadow had talked to her about this...but they were good wolves! They would never break pack law. Was it so wrong to curl up with him? Her heart skipped a beat, of he was worried about that...did he? Did he feel like she did about him? She whinned at him, why wasn't she looking at him?

Tulip walked up to him, gently trying to lift his face. "I-Tulip...sorreee. Tulip want Olas happy." She backed off now and turned away from him before trotting off to the trees. It seemed their encounters ended with her running off from him. This time though there was such a strong mix of emotions Tulip found herself searching for @Moonshadow 's comforting side...

His ears went to his skull as she whined. No, she shouldn't be whining like that it simply made him want to go over to her and try and comfort her again. That was what had gotten them into this situation to begin with. What had made him aware of her in so many ways. He refused the desire to stand and go to her. Refused it with all his might but that did nothing to stop her from going to him.

She came over and gently lifted his head up and he let her. Words of apologies spilled out her lips. It seemed that it was her turn to back off and leave him. Solas silently watched her go as she once more ran off from him. He knew that he could catch up to her easily if he wanted to but what then? What would happen once he caught her? It was better to let her go. Ler her run. That way they could both calm down and he could relax again. He knew all that but then why did seeing her fleeing him make his chest hurt so much?

Deciding it better to leave before she decided to return Solas stood and without bothering to shake the dirt from his pelt he took off for the mountains. He could calm himself there and hopefully be productive and find something to catch. At the very least it would help get Tulip from his thoughts.
