@Adeltra hope a hunt thread for two of them is okay :3

Lilith had seen an opportunity with Adeltra, and just as she had said took her up on her offer. Since the lore was still a mystery to her she was letting the young lady take the lead on this. She admitted she'd need help on the hunting part, but the young Archer could do the showing and finding part. As they drew west, she kept her senses open, listening for more than just sound. She was searching for a hint of life beyond the normal aspects. The daughter of the moon was confident they would soon find something worth pursuing, and she could see the pup in action. As Lilith did not mind the role of teacher at all, and Adeltra had a lot of potential.

"What is this place called?" she murmured, curiousity in her golden eyes. The Ridge was the only place she was certain about, but ever slowly she was working on the rest. It was obviously a meadow they were in but she was sure it had a formal calling. There was just something....different about it. Did Adeltra feel the same? She did not yet ask.

Adeltra Archer

When Lilith had come up to her and asked her to hunt the girl had been surprised but pleased. She’d quickly agreed, jumping at the chance to get to know her new packmate who still intrigued her so. The dark woman led them west and Addy was happy to comply, knowing that the open ground that the meadow provided was as good for prey as the rise was. It was probably good that they didn’t go to the rise anyways, considering it was their main hunting ground because of the herds. They were just two wolves and if they’d tried to hunt the small prey there they could have spooked the animals and that wasn’t something she wanted to do. She didn’t feel like getting trampled today.

When they arrived Lilith seemed perplexed by the area. The young Archer had only been there once before so she didn’t have a perfect layout of it or a great wealth of knowledge, though she did know the answer to the question asked. I’m pretty sure it’s called Hush Meadow she replied. So, what now boss she said, turning to her companion with an urge to learn and get better blazing in her eyes. Her mother was a hunter so she should be a natural at it, right?

"Hush Meadow, how...suiting," she mused still looking over the details of the area. It must be beautiful in the summer before the sun starts to burn things up. Lilith laughed at her comment. "Boss, pfft." Her head shook in disagreement, and her eyes came to rest on the girl. "I'm just a teacher." Of many things, but she didn't speak the thought. Instead she padded forward hoping Ade would come along. "Tell me what do you see?" She indicated for her to look around the meadow. Was there a place squirrels leaped about from stash to stash. Or was there a rabbit hideout somewhere along the spiney hedges?

"Now what do you hear?" If Adeltra was going to be a great hunter this was a good place to start.

Adeltra Archer

Addy gave a nod in agreement to her comment about it being suiting. It really was, especially in the summer when you would expect a bunch of bugs or something to be out making a bunch of noise. Perhaps they did in the daytime, but at night everything seemed so..quiet. It was almost erie, really, how a hush came over the area other than the sighing of the grasses.

Lilith laughed at her boss comment, insisting she was just a teacher. It had been meant to be a playful comment, but it seemed that the dark woman prefered something a little more friendly. The dark Archer was more and more learning to take back her first assumption that she’d had about Sven’s friend. In fact, she quite liked her. Next, she asked what Adeltra saw and she looked around curiously.

I see...lots of snow, she began, stating the obvious. Aaaand, I see some birds pecking at the snow over there. And...some holes, I think? she said, looking at the woman with a quizzical expression. It was a little hard for her to tell with how uneven the ground was. Holes could easily have been sudden little indents for all she knew.

Next, she asked her what she head and the girl closed her amber-yellow gaze in order to concentrate. Her auds swiveled like satellites atop her head, brows creasing as she focused. Hunting in the summer and fall was a lot easier because all the prey was out and easier to find. In the winter things were a lot harder. Animals had left, were hibernating, or were in hiding and the snow created a muffle on much of the natural sounds of the world around them. “I hear squawking, and the wind and...some squeaking,” she said, eyes popping open as she looked around them.

She’d hunted enough for herself to know that squeaking usually meant a rodent and that was her specialty, mainly because she’d been too small to catch anything else. She’d had to catch a lot of them frequently to stay alive and she attributed that to part of the reason that it had taken her so long to get home. If she’d had access to larger meals she wouldn’t have had to stop as much. But, alas, there was nothing she could do about it now. She looked to Lilith for further instruction.

There was one thing Lilith liked about the young, they were easily taught. Or at least at the begining. She didn't look at her funny at the request but began scoping things out. "Likely," she agreed, hoping to assure her where needed. All ready she felt a kinship starting. What else she might teach her time would tell.

Lilith was impressed as she took it seriously, shutting her eyes, and really listening. Hearing what she had hope. "Now you know other way of searching. There are times when herds can't be counted on in the winter, but vermin never get too far." It never hurt to have a full arsenal of tactics. Some seasons were better than others.

"You interested in trying to get them, or should we keep looking?" Again she was leaving it to her. She could see if she could teach her a new technique or they could see what else they might find.

"Of course can't forget the most important thing. Your nose is your best guide. Should we set it to work?"
