RE: Violent thunderstorms overtake relic lore for @Sylva vague details regarding thread with lilith

This creek seemed like a decent place to hold up for a couple days in order to recoup from his long journey before venturing further into these uncharted lands and by the looks of the nasty clouds above, it appeared they too implied their opinion that it was best to stay put a little longer. Here, he could scrounge up some fish from the creek and scavenge the kills of other forest inhabitants. The heavy scent of coyotes everywhere had an unnerving chill coursing up his spine, but one had to do what they must in order to survive. In his case, he had to piggy back on the hard work of others. It wasn't exactly easy to secure a wholesome meal when you were lucky to weigh a buck twenty soaking wet and stood a hair over the tallest overgrown bush. He was a mouse in a land of giants.

Any moment now those churning, dark clouds promised to release their contents upon the land below and Leumier had no intentions of being caught in the midst of their wrath with no proper form of shelter to hunker down in until the storm passed. The flashes of lightning and distant roll of thunder almost deterring the man from his current attempt at flinging a fish onto dry land for a mid afternoon snack, but the rain had yet to begin to fall thus he had some time yet.

A stone toss away from the shoreline Leumier waded in the slow flowing water, gaze peering down at the small schools of minnows that only recently they had nothing to fear from the sudden white pillars that invaded the watery domain. These wimpy fish would not do to sate the gnawing hunger snapping at his tummy. A subtle groan of frustration escaped his inky lips and to make matters worse the first pitter patter of raindrops began to filter from above. Small ripples where the drops touched the water's surface appearing all around him. Great.

The branches rustled overhead, the wind starting to pick up, the small wolf moved along the trail with a slight sense of urgency. She was off the mountain, hunting for herbs, now with one litter already in the pack, and another that could arrive any day, She needed to stock up on as much as she could. Brown eyes turned upward, catching sight of the vast darkening expanse of storm covering the sky. Nostrils flared, she picked up the oddly strong scent of coyote, it wasn’t a good sign, their behavior was odd, she knew she risked a lot coming out this way alone, but the pack’s health was worth it.

Ears perking, the soft whispers of a nearby creek caught the medic’s attention. She turned off the trail, heading toward it, a new haste in her steps as she sought out shelter before the storm broke. Coming around the trunk of a large tree, Sylva paused, catching sight of a white shape wading through the water. She blinked in surprise, at first she thought it had been a coyote, but the scent was distinctively lupine. A wolf, near her own height if not smaller.

Raindrops fell, splattering right between her eyes, causing her to squeak in surprise before shaking her head. “hey er.. Ya alright? she called out, a tad concerned about this standing in the middle of a waterway with the rain steadily growing heavier and heavier. She looked around, the trees here were thick, an odd familiarity to them, she had been here once before, almost two years ago. “I’m sure the trees can help with shelter if you're looking!’

A slight shiver ran its course along the young male's spin as the approaching storm brought with it a sudden surge in the wind that blew, toying with the ivory and light lining of charcoal to the small of his back with each hefty gust that decided to come his way. The larger ripples it created upon the water's surface spooking the wimpy fish swimming about his paws and warranting another sigh to fall from his lips, the rain becoming a nuisance of its own with the constant tapping to his nose. Wasn't he getting wet enough just by wading in the creek for a quick meal? Life was so unfair at times.

Suddenly there was a noise from behind that shattered the silence Leu had been so consumed by and the young man was quick to whip his head in the direction it came from, his honey amber gaze widening at the sight of another just past the shadows of the looming tree line. Well, crap. Had this stranger been a snake it would have straight up bit him good on the rump for being so unaware of his surroundings just to sate a hunger he clearly still wasn't going to do so anytime soon. Pale ears pricked forward to register the meek and concern laced words that filled the air in the form of a feminine voice at first before informing the exposed Ashrelle the shelter such a thick canopy could provide if he was searching.

This stranger seemed nice enough, but Leumier's guard didn't budge entirely and for a moment his lids narrowed in suspicion. If there was one thing his mama had taught him it was to be wary of those you knew and even more so of those you didn't. It was a good lesson that had helped him survive thus far, but a loud crash of thunder overhead had him shrinking low and emitting an even lower whine. The sky above darker and meaner than he remembered it being moments ago. Maybe he could bend that lesson for the time being..

"Uh..thanks, lady." He called back after a hearty clearing of his throat, his gravelly vocal chords a tad rusty from the improper use over the course of who knew how long now. Retracting from the creek, paws touched dry land and his pelt was given a swift shake before glancing back toward the ebony stranger.
