@Chenoa first please. AW - Violent thunderstorms.
drink up me hearties, yo-ho

His movements had started as slow wobbles, dragging an overfull belly across the floor of the den, blind eyes and folded ears doing little to aid his search for the warmth that was always there, not big like the food warmth, but small, like him. He didn't like it when he couldn't feel it, hear it. She had always been there, even before he could remember. Now that they were out in the big wide space, he didn't want to lose her.

Days turned into weeks and eyes cracked open. Tiny folded ears unfurled and the world seemed even bigger now that he could see it. Strength had come to his limbs and he no longer wiggled but wobbled instead, and once the wobbled were under control he walked.

It was an accident, really, that he managed to find himself out here squinting at the bright (grey, clouded sky) and the very loud sounds. He had been having fun with his sister, safe where they knew they should say, and her tackle had been so unexpected that he rolled right out into the muted light. When the movement finally stopped, he sprawled out on the ground in awe. "Nnnnoa!" you gotta come see this! Then more insistently, "NNNNOA!"

The little boy growled his frustration, and the sky growled back.

Chenoa Tallis

Life was simple, and easy, and hard all at the same time. There was a great warmth sometimes, and a lesser warmth all of the time. She liked it though. Preferred it even. It was always there. Constant where the great heat was not. She'd never been without it, and so it's absence wasn't even a thought in her tiny mind, because it too, was a part of her.

As time passed, instinct drove her stomach away from the cool floor of the den, and into the air. Her limbs had become pedestals, but they weren't stable in any sense of the word. They were shaky, and uncoordinated, and only did what she wanted them to do part of the time, but they worked well enough. Chenoa used them often, as she scurried around after her brother.

To say that Noah had never been particularly interested in the pool of light that the food-bringer often disappeared into was an understatement. Everything past the threshold was 'unknown', and she preferred to stay in the 'known'. Things were nice there. Well, they were nice, before she shoved her brother right into the void. Still-blue eyes widened as his body disappeared into the light, and terror rippled down her spine. A whine poured into the air as the pup grieved her loss, but it was cut off by what had to be the most beautiful sound in the world. 'Nnnnoa!' Chenoa's heart pounded in her chest, as she rejoiced. He hadn't disappeared!

Cautiously, the Tallis cub moved towards the horrifyingly bright light. One step, and then another, until she could just barely make out the faint shadow of movement. 'NNNNOA!' Taking another step, she allowed her little paw to bathe in the overcast light. It didn't hurt, so she chanced the other. That's when her brother's growl was answered with another, much more terrifying sound. Startled the girl made to step backwards, but shot forward instead, and rolled right out into the light herself. There she laid, for fear that any sort of movement might draw the creature's attention to her.

Moonshadow Eastfall
I think I need help, cuz I'm drowning in myself

I couldn't help put her in here <3 Note: this is three days before Moons gives birth so she's rather large

It would be any day now that her second litter would arrive in the world. Moonshadow opted to stick by her den more and more but every once and a while she liked to venture out to get a change of scenery. She knew that once she gave birth she would be leaving that den for a few weeks. So for todays outing she figured she'd pay a visit to @Birtie to see how she and her pups were doing. A small squirrel hung from her inky maw as she made her way to the pale woman's den. The sky was grey and threatened to open up and pour as thunder boomed. Maybe this would be a quick visit.

As the (rather large) ebony woman came closer to the Parlow den she could hear a small call that very clearly came from a pup. It wasn't long until silver eyes saw a pale pup sitting outside the mouth of the den growling. It wasn't long before another pup, darker in color, popped out from the den as well. It was clear that the darker child was terrified by the way she hugged the ground. With maternal instincts kicking in Moonshadow placed the squirrel on the ground and approached the twins. "Its okay hun, nothin's gonna get ya" she spoke softly to try to soothe the girl. She gave the pair a smile as she laid a little bit away from them allowing them to decide if they wanted to come to her. Being closer she was able to see that the pale pup was a boy and resembled his mother where as the dark pup was a girl and very much resembled @Kajika. A warm smile was upon her inky lips as she watched the two, remembering when @Chan was that small.

Birtie Parlow-Tallis
she's mainly (defensively) watching, feel free to skip her.

She wasn't the best mother but she was by no means the worst. Often times, she slept while her children romped around outside the den. Logic told her that Kajika shouldn't be too far at any given moment and she doubted he would let anything happen to the children. But she roused from slumber by her son's persistent calling for Noa. The rumble of thunder stirred her to crawl out of the den and investigate further.

The mother stood in the mouth of the den, eyes glancing at each of her children before noticing the large form of Moonshadow. While she greatly respected the woman for her role in the pack - these were the Parlow's children and she was still mighty defensive of them even if they were toddling about now. So she watched the scene with a steely gaze as her hackles dared to prickle upwards, thunder matching her emotions.

A weight collided with his rear and the boys tail waved, overjoyed that his sister wanted to play! He spun to try and grab told of an ear or a tail, anything he could tug to tease her into retaliating. It helped that she had just sprawled there, but it wasn't fun unless she fought back! He was distracted from his onslaught by a strange voice. It wasn't his ma, so who was it then? Was it the sky voice that had growled at him?

The boys tail arched high as his head craned to make sense of the big dark that wasn't his dad. A paw lifted high as he boldly stepped forward, barking at the big for growling at them before. Nobody was gonna mess with Noah while he was around!

Noah felt Elwood's jaws close around the soft leather of her ear. It caused the inky cub's maw to crinkle in displeasure, revealing the needle-like teeth hidden just behind her lips. Her growl was overshadowed by the rolling of thunder overhead, but if it had been heard, it would have been considered meek at best. The voice caught her attention just as she was scrambling to her paws. Puppy-blue eyes swung wildly towards the stranger, fear painting itself all across her features. A tiny squeak left her then, as it's looming mass settled onto the ground.

Cowering behind her brother's pale form, Chenoa attempted to bury her face into the fur at his hip.

I think I need help, cuz I'm drowning in myself

The sky rumbled with thunder as the very large woman settled down outside Birtie's den. Silver orbs Watched the pups as they reacted to her. The pale boy took a step towards her letting out a ferocious puppy growl and bark, while his darker sister buried her face into his flank. A quiet chuckle of amusement fell from her dark maw at how very different they were. Then the pale form of their mother appeared from within the den. "Hello Birtie, they're beautiful" Moon greeted with a warm smile and slow sweep of her tail. Looking back to the twins she laid her head against her paws as to be less intimidating "Its alright dear. Im not gonna hurt ya" she spoke hoping they'd see it was okay.
