Vaken Svart Things could never be easy, could they? Vaken was torn apart internally, uncertain on the right thing to do. He knew he couldn’t fight. Vaken wasn’t strong, and Laurel was not in good shape. Together they would get seriously injured, but Vaken wanted to help. He wanted to make it up to Laurel, but he couldn’t. It was a tough position to be in. Rather than dwell though, Vaken simply nodded his head back at his kind-of friend-kind-of enemy and kept his mouth shut. He didn’t know what to say, and he wasn’t the type to run his mouth. He gave a deep exhale, and then he took off. He didn’t look back. His legs pushed him quickly into the distance, and just like their last encounter- Vaken was the first to leave. He didn’t want to wait around and chance his luck. He wasn’t sure, but he felt like he’d see the boy again. The two seemed to bump into each other a lot. Vaken couldn’t help but hope that their paths would cross again and he’d get a second-chance to explain himself. do the macarena in the devil's lair but just don’t sit down 'causeI've moved your chair |

Lauraceae Ritter
And, hey, maybe if not the third, we can try the forth or fifth time around ;) Thank you for another fun thread!!
With Vaken gone, Laurel was left to stew. But, thankfully (or perhaps not) he had company to attend to. One coyote gave chase, but the young Ritter was still stuck with some of them. He sighed, tired of it all. What the heck was he going to do now? Back to Willow Ridge? He grimaced. No, not there. Maybe he'd get over Adeltra's "compliment" eventually, but even today it stuck with him. For now, his best course of action would probably just be... survive. It seemed simple enough.
Unfortunately for him, things that seemed simple rarely ever were.
