@Namir
RE:Namir, your evening has been filled with cricket-song.
Takes place near the foothills of the mountain, around here

Elias huffed a sigh as he crossed his front paws and rested his chin on top of them. He had hoped that the fresh mountain air would breeze some sense back into him, but nope, his mind was as foggy as ever. It just wasn't right, or even natural to feel like a nobody. There was nowhere for him to run or hide, not when he'd lost it all. He couldn't even remember the catalyst, the beginning of the end, all he knew was that he woken up bloody, bruised and had no idea who he was or where he even came from. Sometimes he remembered little things, when he'd looked up at the mountain in all it's grey glory he'd felt a pang of pain, an deep ache in his chest that made him want to cry. But what did that even mean? How was he supposed to slot the puzzle pieces together when he had no idea what the finished product would look like?

Maybe he wasn't supposed to know, maybe this was for the better. For all he knew his past life had been awful, after all look at him! He pulled back a little to glance at his ruined front paw, it was so ew that he could barely stand to look at it. Was that the sort of man he was, weak and squeamish? He cringed at the thought and curled his tail around himself, even if only to keep the cold at bay. This was a strange forest, perhaps not the best place to try and catch some sleep but he had nowhere else to go. He'd found a crook between the roots of some old tree, it would do for tonight. The relative silence of the night was soon interrupted by a chorus of chirps, almost as though the crickets were trying to raise his spirits.

Well, good luck with that, Elias thought with a huff as he rested his chin atop his paws once more.

Little Crow
Once it was birds – now it was crickets. She was pretty sure the chirp heralded the end of summer, or maybe autumn – which meant only one thing. Winter was coming. Namir hadn’t really enjoyed her first winter, with all the snow and cold and frozen and everything else that came with it, but her options were limited. Joining Pookastone Scowle was one of the worst decisions she’d ever made, but she wasn’t going back to Crow’s Crossing.

And what was really down south for her, anyways?

Namir was so lost in her melancholy thoughts that she all but tripped over Elias, hidden in the grasses of the foothills as he was, and gave a startled bark. She might have been mad, but—

“Blue eyes! Fancy meetin’ you all th’ way out here.”

Elias Selwyn

Owwww. Elias winched as a set of paws smushed him down, like he was some mat to be trodden all over. His brows smushed and his ears flicked back, the closest to a display of anger he was ever going to show. Even like this. He knew he was tucked in against a tree but his coat was blond, shady or not he was blonde. Lifting his head from his paws Elias couldn't help but notice the spark of recognition that shone in her eyes. She seemed to know him, quite fondly, but for the life of him he couldn't put a name to her face. His face scrunched in obvious confusion, and perhaps a smidge of discomfort. Who was she? What did she want?

"I don't..." Before he would have risen to his paws to greet her, but now he remained where he was small and curled up. She didn't even seem a little familiar, for what it was worth she might as well be a complete and utter stranger. She clearly was someone though and just because he didn't know her didn't mean that they didn't have history. Maybe, just maybe she was the key to his past.

"Who are you?"
