Risaela ???
@Jessie @Laike
@Rajan first please
Set February 1st, evening //

They’d visited the pools in the area, and even a small section of the lake that Ris had thought might have the flowers Rajan was looking for come springtime. The young wolf was tired by the end of their excursion, and was excited to invite a new wolf into their pack. They didn’t have a lot of wolves, so maybe this would be good for them.

Maybe Rajan came at a good time for her, too.

The silver girl padded up to the borders and tipped her head back to call for Jessie and Laike in particular, turning and offering the reddish wolf beside her a reassuring smile.

“They’ll b-be here soon,” she told the man. “When spring comes around, we can go look for those f-flowers you were talking about, hm?”

It was nice to have someone to talk to again, even if she did miss Can terribly.

Rajan
Traveling with Risaela, Rajan found, was rather more enjoyable than he had initially expected. They navigated the Lowlands and she showed him potential spots where his flower might grow in the late Spring. Considering the open tundra and the vast expanse of snow drifts, he was skeptical about the lotus finding its way to such places, but he gave her the benefit of the doubt. They would see if he would find the light yellow flower when the world grew warm again.

It was with an even and unhurried gait that he followed the youth into a part of the northern Expanse where the dead grasses were soft underfoot, even in the places where they treaded on hard-packed snow. He took this as a sign that they had come into the Fields, where Risaela and her pack called home. A part of him welcomed the relief, thrilled with the idea of meeting others, while the other figuratively waited nervously on pinecone scales. This was to be only temporary, he told himself as he watched her grey-touched head tip back in a summoning song.

He smiled at her when she assured him that they would be met in due time and that they would go flower-hunting together soon enough. He gave her a nod, charmed as he took her in. She was confident, which he liked, even with that stutter... but, even then, that little speech defect, he found, was... cute. His satisfied smirk softened, and his ears and stance relaxed. Risaela was probably too young for him if his preliminary assumptions were correct. He swallowed and took a deep breath, getting his thoughts back on track with preparing himself for meeting her superiors. He had time yet he was sure. With Risaela's help, he would find the one. All he had to do was be patient and begin with his first task - after all, without the flower, he would not have someone to make his rani.

Laike Artemieva

A familiar voice summoned the leader of the Rye to the border. He was glad that the girl had stuck around despite her missing counterpart. What he had not expected was her to be standing there on the borders with another strange man. It was not the swarthy fur of Cancer and not the form of anyone from former Hearthwood that he could recall. A stranger. To him.

He lofted his position upwards, head held high and tail turned banner. Risaela. He rumbled with a touch of fondness as he offered her a glance before his eyes fixed onto the rogue man. Dark agouti with golden eyes, taller than himself by a smidge but by no means as heavy. Good. Laike liked being able to duel out the hard hits if needed. Heavens knew their borders had not been free of trouble this last year.

And who might you be? He had not attempted to hide his eyes roaming the male and so it seemed like the only logical question to ask next.

Adelayde Artemieva

The calling voice was all too familiar as she trekked through snow that still littered the Rye fields, blanketing the scenic land in pristine white. There had been some time from the most recent border call, so the dutiful beta wasn't going to miss this one (not like she missed very many anyway). The mother was always curious, especially when she had children within the borders that she needed to protect. Not only did she have her two children, she also looked over @Kisetra, now that both of her parents were MIA.

Adelayde was quick on the scene, following the scent of her husband as he beat her to the border. With a kiss upon his golden cheek, her mismatched gaze turned from her husband to the duo before them. Casting Risaela a bright smile, Hello, dear, she greeted the young girl before her eyes laid upon the dark agouti man. No words were cast his way, instead let him answer her mate's inquiry first.
