Ravenna Archer-Lyall
From the comfort of the Pack's den it was warm and inviting. Outside though it was early morning, the sun had yet to rise and perhaps would not this day. The whole of the sky was a pale gray is her very own pelt. The wind blew hard, cold, yet did not snow at this moment. By the sight of the sky it seemed perhaps a storm may brew later that night.

Ravenna didn't worry about her pack, however. They were capable and strong and her pups remained safe and healthy. It was Sven and Leotie's children which still left her in worry. Though no bad news had come, none of good had either. They were still off on their own somewhere and while at six months pups began to hunt with the pack and now at seven they would begin hunting on their own, it was winter and they were yet still children. Winter was hard for a lone adult much less teenagers. Ravenna could only hope they were together. Together they were stronger and here in the South if they remained they were bound to run into friend, family or ally willing to help out.

Sighing, she pondered the Pack's next move. Already Adeltra and Ragnar had gone on a scouting mission to the nearby packs. Without need of asking, @Lilith kept an eye out while on her hunts and the guardians scouted out along the borders for them. Perhaps another run was needed.... Maybe @Enia and @Reiko put to further work. Lifting from her placement, she sat down at the opening of the den, listening to the wind whip by, the only current sound from the quiet winter.

While no one had alerted him of the telepathic signals being placed in the Ridge's air, he was simply in the right place at the right time. Strolling towards the leaders den with no intention of stopping to chat but simply heading this direction by sheer luck. Though, he made a quick glance to their den and realized that Ravenna was sitting pretty just outside of it. It wasn't like he could just ignore her now - that'd be rather rude and he was not about that life. So he veered to the left a little, put on a smile and waved himself on over. Hey, he started, his pace slowing down once he was within ten feet of her and ultimately stopping five feet short. There was still a lot he didn't know about his leaders, Ravenna especially, so was this the opportunity waving back?

Ravenna Archer-Lyall
While Ravenna was very much aware of what it felt like to loose someone, she imagined the sting of loosing a child was ever more heartbreaking - being new parents and to have not only one of their pups...but both go missing? Ravenna's throat tightened. Despite the worry and stress, Scully and Avella had not been found dead. They were not old, sick, physically or emotionally broken. They were young and strong and hopefully together. Even yet still if they were pups, Ravenna felt they had more of a chance then plenty else who she had seen make it through the winter months. Even if she had doubts at times she had to be a strong figure in the face of her pack, especially Sven and Leotie.

It did not take long before a face of her pack arrived either. It was Reiko. Surely the youngest adult male within the ranks and yet likely the largest (although between him and Blackmoore it was a close call to tell) within them. A Tainn, as it were. A family name she remembered her mother mentioning and though Ravenna could not recall much about. "Hello Reiko." She spoke with a slight smile, keeping her sit at the mouth of the pack den. "What have you been out and about doing this morning?" He had been up before she had, obviously. While the pack was strong and the skills amongst the members quite various it was much easier to sleep in.

Reiko had nothing to contribute to to the way of life that the Ridge had. He patrolled his borders every now and then and kept face with his pack mates, but he didn't feel like he was of much use to anyone. It was too easy to feel like he was absolutely useless and unwanted, and despite how seamlessly he fell into that rhythm, he constantly fought with the idea that he wasn't worthless. Was wandering the borders a little, he expressed, hoping she might be thrilled he had been doing something , you just waking up?
