Woya Macieo
Woya is trespassing.

At first, when she'd grown certain that yes, yes, this was finally him, her heart had soared. All this time spent searching, running her paws raw and practically starving without a pack's support, was at last worth it. He was alive, she didn't scent blood or infection or illness, in fact, she smelled...

It hit her in waves, each colder than the last. This was a pack. His scent was dominant. Several pregnancies were occurring. What in the fuck was going on?

By the time the ferns gave way to the lair-like entrance, Woya was seething. Her lips pulled back in a gruesome display of anger and disgust as her hackles began to bristle. Without a second thought, she stormed forward, with only one goal in sight: find Hudson, now.

Riven
Riven was tired. Exhausted. It’d been a few days since Saga had given birth, but the healer had spent a lot of time running back and forth between her and Rhaegara’s dens, trying to assure that the new mothers had everything they needed. He was currently snoozing in the main den, only half asleep, which was why he smelled the stranger and was roused from his slumber.

Riv was a healer. He’d never been a guard - never confronted a trespasser before - and he wasn’t really sure how to go about it. But the other wolf looked... bristly, and there were pups in the territory, and he couldn’t just let her walk through there like this.

“Hey!” he called, hoping his voice came out stronger than he thought it did. “You, uh... you can’t be here. This isn’t your territory.” The blond tried to plant himself in her way, fur rising a bit along his scruff. “You’ve gotta leave.”

Woya Macieo
It wasn't a surprise that she hadn't gone unnoticed, especially given the time of year. Woya was old and wise enough to know that this was something one did not do unless they were prepared to face some very dire consequences. Apparently, she simply didn't care.

Her eyes flashed toward the stranger, teeth baring in warning. He didn't even try to appear overly fierce, and this only emboldened her. Woya attempted to simply curve around him, only two frigid and clipped words spared:

"Fuck off."

Riven
Wow, this one was bold and excessively rude. Riven’s brows furrowed up and he stepped forward again, figuring out that he might have to really step in here. At least until someone else could come in and help. This wolf wasn’t even big - she was smaller than him, so he probably stood at least a little chance, if necessary.

“No, I can’t do that,” he informed her, stepping in her way once again, not at all caring if he bumped into her in his attempt to intercept the woman. “This is my home, and you need to leave. I’m not gonna ask again.” His tone was firmer this time, a small growl rising in his throat. He had no clue how to fight, but... maybe he didn’t have to, or could at least hold her here until someone else came by. It didn’t really occur to him to call for help.

Woya Macieo
It wouldn't be that easy, apparently. Woya scowled deeply, muscles tensing and adrenaline continuing to leak into her system. Part of her wanted to tear through the kid, rip into him and throw him aside, but of course that was something she'd never been able to do. Hudson had always been her brawn until he'd disappeared, she'd thought unwillingly.

She spat at the dirt when the blonde spoke the word 'home.' This was not home.

Tail lashing behind her, Woya simply glared back at him for a moment, measuring her options. After a long moment, she took several slow strides backwards before belting out a call, clearly and specifically for @Huddy. It echoed through the air before dying out, the silence thereafter short lived.

"Hudson!" the woman hollered at the top of her lungs, stamping her paw against the Earth. She wanted him here now, she didn't want to wait around with this prick breathing down her neck and she definitely didn't want to let loose the floodgates on why she was here, in this state, before her brother was present.

Riven
Oh thank god, they weren’t going to fight. At least not immediately. Riven was not at all trained on that topic, and probably needed to at least learn a little, but at least he could hold this woman here and wait for backup to arrive.

And she knew Hudson. That complicated things, but at least maybe she wasn’t a total stranger.

“I probably should’ve thought to call him,” he mumbled to himself, blue eyes never leaving the other wolf, gauging her body language and tensing up his own tired muscles, ready to jump on her if he needed to. He’d figure out what to do after that, probably, but it wasn’t the ideal situation.

He hoped Hudson got there fast. Or @Adelard maybe. Anyone who wasn’t one of the nursing mothers, and certainly someone who could help him get this woman out of their territory.

“You better not be here to hurt him,” he growled afterward, fur still fluffed up and gaze boring into her own. Not that this wolf could do much to the other male - Hudson could probably take her if he needed.

Well if you wanted honesty that's all you had to say

Somehow, almost a week had already passed since the birth of he and Saga’s brood. They were developing in leaps and bounds, already showing what their personalities would one day morph into under he and his partner’s watchful eyes. It was a miraculous thing, really. Never in his life did he ever think he’d want to be a parent and, honestly, he’d still been a bit on the fence before they’d arrived in the world. Now? Now he knew he’d do anything for them. Marrah, Aweho and Caelyn would want for nothing, of this he was sure.

But, as much as he wanted to do nothing but lay next to Saga and watch the little ones play, he still had duties to perform. He needed to keep up the borders, do some hunting, check-in with everyone (especially their other resident mother, Rhaegara). His job seemed like it was never done, but it kept him busy and out of trouble so he couldn’t really complain. Well, except when trouble came to them.

The man froze when an all too familiar voice rose into the sky, the tone a scream of annoyance and confusion. He’d know the voice anywhere, it was the voice he’d come into the world knowing. It was the voice of his best friend, his partner-in-crime, his sister. And she was here. In a flash his body loosened and he was off like a rocket, charging through the ferns like a bat out of hell. How had she gotten there? Was everyone okay? Was she okay? He had so many questions, but when his sights locked on her small form they were all tossed to the side. The dark man collided with her, knocking her to the ground and for the first time in a long time, a whine escaped him. Not from pain, but from happiness. Finally, they were together again.

Woya Macieo
Woya wasn't able to stand still for long, and was soon pacing like a caged tiger in front of the impromptu guardian. She bared her fangs menacingly at him when he spoke his warning. The woman very much wanted to take Hudson right by the ear and drag him all the way back home. It'd probably hurt, but he deserved it. Riven wouldn't be getting any kind of explanation or even a verbal response from her at all, however. In fact, nothing changed until it did so all at once.

With little warning, the wolf she wanted appeared, and abruptly knocked her off her paws. She'd seen a flash of white and black, but the snarl that built in her throat was pushed out of her along with all of the wind in her lungs, lithe form easily toppled.

She growled and flailed, kicking against his heftier bulk to try and shove him right back off her. Woya wanted to be happy to see him, but there was a lot he needed to explain first.

Riven
This was... weird. Riven stepped back in alarm as Hudson came barreling in, knocking the tiny woman to the ground, and for a moment he worried that the man was going to seriously injure the stranger - except, that’s not what happened at all. Hudson seemed happy - happier than Riv had ever seen him, probably, and the stranger did not reciprocate.

The healer frowned and watched the two, curious and concerned both, but he didn’t speak - this seemed to be a reunion of sorts, and he didn’t know if perhaps he was the intruder instead of this strange woman.

Woya had never been very physically affectionate, something else the two shared, but they had never had problems being close to each other. Yet, suddenly, she was growling at him and trying to fling him off, anger clinging to her words as she called him an asshole. A frown dipped onto the corners of his dark lips, a stark contrast to the joyful grin that had preceded it seconds before. He backed off, brows twisting in confusion and it was then that his ghostly gaze saw Riven. The poor boy looked terribly confused, and rightfully so. Honestly, he was just as confused. “Riv, this is m’ sister, Woya. I haven’t seen her in a while, can ya give us some time alone?” he said, though his voice wasn’t much of a question but a statement. He’d thank him later for his quick response to the border, but for the time being he had more important matters to address.

His attention went back to his siblings, who was still fuming. “Care t’ tell me how I’m an asshole?” he asked, his voice clipped with displeasure.
