It had been happenstance. She must have wandered away from the den for a moment and her scent had drifted over the border but it caught his attention. It was undeniably her… he just didn’t know what she was doing away from the trail. It seemed so out of character for her. Still, his curiosity grew. He sat a respectable distance from the border, raising his maw to the sky as he called for the leader of this pack. He caught another vaguely familiar scent and he remembered the man he had met on the mountain, Chan, mentioning the fact that there was a group in the area looking to settle down.
He just hadn’t realized that Ene had been involved in that. He hummed softly and waited patiently, tilting his head to the side. His tail thumped lightly against the ground. Perhaps he should have brought a gift… he figured he probably should have, but it had been a side-thought truly.
