I think I need help, cuz I'm drowning in myself
She knew in her heart that Chan's words of warning were not directed at her or meant to hurt her. Though she could not help her reaction to them. Her attention shifted from her embarrassment - it didn't disappear though - to continuing to eat the herbs placed before her while looking around to the collection of wolves. Her heart swelled at the sight of eleven gathered and knowing that two of the children and two others who were missing made the cove sixteen strong. The ebony woman wished Tagg, Namid, and Vespertio could see them now. No matter the challenges that were thrown at them they have proven time and time again that they would prevail and thrive.
Her emotions once more took another turn, this time into worry as her stomach tied into a knot - cougar. Silver orbs watched her eldest inform the pack about the danger of the invading cat. Nash had taken up the role of guardian, following in his father's footsteps. Her silver dusted tail unwrapped itself from beneath her rigid body and wagged weakly at the mention of her lookalike boy gaining such an important role. Next on his list of help was that of her best friend taking up the role of advisor, then Aquene, their amazing medic. A weak smile was offered to the dark woman in an attempt to agree with the praise that was being given. Chan informed them of what he'd be doing to contribute and help before finally stating that Jethro had done a fine job at keeping them stocked on warm pelts. Moonshadow's heart swelled once more at how much everyone had done to contribute to the pack's wellbeing. Guilt made itself apparent in the back of her mind. They were all doing so much...and what did she have to show for being a member? What has she done besides be a burden?
She had almost forgotten Aquene's instructions to eat until Nash called out for someone to help him gather something for her. The onyx woman involuntarily winced at the sudden cold of her empty side where Nash stepped away from. She didn't realize how much his body warmth had made a difference. Her flank wasnt left out in the cold for long. The dark agouti form of Leo appeared pressing against her, quickly followed by the paler coated Lynx. Once again, her pale tipped tail waved weakly at their appearance. She gave both boys a loving nibble behind their ears in an attempt to reassure them. She hadn't meant to scare them or anyone, she just wanted to find any leads on where @Kip or @Nori had possibly gone.
Moonshadow watched and listened to the others disperse once all was said and done. She continued to listen to Aquene's instructions like a star patient. She had to get better so that she could help her beloved pack.
