AW! New Years RE:You decide to be Fergilicious and get up in the woods just working on your fitness. Whose your witness?
Mid-afternoon

He despised the frigid cold, seriously the Macieo-Tainn wished he could stay in the den all day and just be comfortable and warm. But the boy felt guilty if he was too complacent for days in a row while the adults tended to the duties and kept the lands protected. Caelyn felt like he should do something for the pack in return, but what was an adolescent to do in Winter? Leaving the comfort of the den, he decided to at least try to get the hang of patrolling their lands. Maybe he could find signs of prey or any disturbances that the adults could be made aware of. So, Caelyn took off at a trot, trudging through the knee-high snow drifts.

As he traversed through the area, his hot breath coming out in large steam clouds around him, Caelyn came upon an interesting sight. Snow drifts littered the tree line, making a path almost like a rollercoaster would make with the highs and lows in its tracks. At a run, the boy began jumping over each one like a hurdle, one after the other until he was at the end bounding over it with his lanky legs. A laugh left his maw as he turned back to look at his tracks through the snow. How fun!

Woya Macieo
Woya came upon the young boy in his bounding, a wide smile spreading over her maw. It immediately reminder her of the first time she'd met @Saga, before the woman had become a mother. She reminisced while watching him for a few moments before, before kickstarting her own legs and joining in on the little cardio exercise.

She followed after him, falling into his trail and doing as he had done - clearing the drifts. The children had all already surpassed their aunt in stature, but despite his longer legs she was able to keep pace just fine. Each jump was cleared with grace, even as she bubbled with giggles. This was just as fun as it had looked.

Sky-blue looked over to see that he was no longer alone in the snow drifts, no it seemed his Aunt Woya came to join him. A grin falling upon his lips, his gaze watched as the smaller adult leaped over each snow drift with more grace than he could ever wish to have. Her bubbling laughter was contagious as she drew nearer, his own laughter echoing through the forest. Just before she got to him, the boy called out to his aunt with a smirk lining his maw, "Wanna race?" Oh, he would definitely win this one, there was no way she could beat him at his own game.

Woya grinned widely at her nephew, not slowing even as she neared him. The offer was met with a wickedly mirthful show of her teeth, and she shouted out her answer only a yard or so from reaching him.

"Hell yeah!"

She'd only just started letting her tongue slip here and there around the children - they would be teenagers before the pack knew it, and using such language themselves if they were anything like their father.

There was no slowing down, much lessing stopping to make sure the boy was ready - she hollered "readysetgo!", the final syllable leaving her jaws right as she passed him. The treeline ahead of them created a perfect finish line.

His toothy grin widened as his Aunt Woya was more than willing to play with him as she barreled towards him, her pace not slowly at all. Keeping his baby blue gaze focused on the smaller woman, he bowed his front half of his body in excitement as she drew closer. Expecting her to give a proper count down, he was caught off guard when she raddled off their start as she flew past him. "Hey!" Caelyn yelled in protest but clawed out towards his aunt's form as she drew away from him, her body moving towards the treeline. His lanky form may be still less graceful than his experienced Aunt's, but his strides had length which was evident as he ate way at the distance between him and Woya.

Laughter erupted from his maw as he caught up next to Woya, his blue gaze looking over to her briefly before focusing back upon the treeline as he extended his strides to try to beat her.

Woya cackled good-naturedly, expecting her nephew not to take the slight to heart. It was, after all, just for fun. She continued to pump her legs as quickly as they would go, making her best effort at beating the younger wolf to the sentinel-like trees ahead. The sounds of him catching up did not evade her ears, and she looked over her shoulder to see his youthful face growing ever closer.

She grinned back at him as he reached her side, and dodged toward him, aiming to gently bump him and hopefully slow him down enough to give her a chance. It was how she had played with her brother, and Hudson had kept up just fine. She expected his progeny to understand her in the same way their father had.

As his lanky legs brought him closer to the alabaster frame of his aunt, he couldn't help but feel the arrogance fill him as he began to pass the adult. He was going to win this race and Cae was much younger than his counterpart. Though he obviously wasn't going to look at the fact he was almost twice her size. So, when he came up along her side, the boy expected to clear his way of her and reach the finish line to beat his aunt. However, he forgot his Aunt Woya had tricks up her sleeve.

Bumping her shoulder against his unexpectedly, the boy was knocked off balance easily with his lanky limps throwing him face first into the snow as his back limps flew up behind his back in an arch as he slid to a stop. Groaning loudly, his blue gaze looked up to see his face covered in snow. Rising to his feet, he shook off the snow as he peered to see if Woya had made it to the treeline yet.

Woya truly couldn't help the burst of laughter that erupted from her chest as her nephew faceplanted in the snow. That had definitely not been her intention, and she slid to a stop and backtracked to him rather than continuing the game. She tried to contain her laughter, and was more or less successful.

"I'm sorry Cae, I didn't think I'd send ya flyin'," a giggle, admittedly a pinch pleased that she'd managed it, "yer just so big."

Hopefully that would help soothe over any bruising done to his ego.

"Ya okay?"

Shaking the snow off his pelt, he could hear his aunt burst into laughter at his expense. At first the sliver of pride that inhabited him was bruised, his blue gaze looking to her with a glare until he actually looked at her laughing as she apologized for sending him flying. Caelyn couldn't help it then and he too burst out laughing. It had been pretty fun flying into the snowbank. "Yeah, I'm okay," he answered her with a toothy smile as he lifted his gaze to her, soft laughter still coming from his maw. "Next time, warn me when you are gonna cheat," he commented with a sly smile. Or at least show him her tricks she uses.

She was thankful that he was able to find the humor in it as well. It would be an important skill in getting him through life, as it was for every wolf. If you couldn't laugh at yourself every once and a while, you were in for a hard, short life in Woya's opinion. Though she could understand how hard it was to do at times.

"Where's the fun in that?" she teased, stepping away now that she knew he was fine. They had a race to finish. She aligned herself perfectly perpendicular to the edge of the forest, threw him a crooked grin, and whether or not he'd been ready at that point, Woya would take off for the sentry-like tree line.

"Still got a chance!" she encouraged as she ran.

Learning how to make a quick recovery was another useful skill.
