Margo was making it her personal goal to get familiar with all of the territories that surrounded their pack. This was something she probably could have started on a couple months ago with the help of her parents or siblings, but at the time it just sounded so... scary leaving the pack's little chunk of land. As she got older she grew a bit braver, and now it was something she didn't need help to do. Sure, company was nice, but the girl just had such a hard time around other wolves. She never really felt like she quite fit in, or that she was 100 percent wanted. It wasn't anyone else's fault but her own, and the Valle girl knew that, but it was still easier to suck it up and do things alone than it was to confront those uncomfortable feelings.

Today she'd found herself in perhaps her least favorite location thus far. It wasn't too late in the day, but night was still creeping it's way in ever-so-slowly and the farther away the sun got the more unpleasant this place appeared. There was something creepy and sad about it, and she didn't like the way all of these trees were constantly brushing through her fur. Perhaps the creepiness came with the silence. It was like there were no animals here but her. "I bet ghosts live in here.." She spoke to herself, squinting her eyes to see if there was an easier path to take through the location.

Seri had found himself lingering near where he knew his friend lived. He still wandered out into the neighboring territories but there was a part of him that wanted to wait for when Eros had permission from his parents to travel with him. He wanted an adventure buddy who was just as curious as he was. He was making his way through the spooky woods. He was familiar with it from his childhood and it used to scare him so much… but he realized that the branches knocking together often made spooky noises, and he also recognized that water wasn’t’ afraid of the woods. That meant he shouldn’t be either, right?

He caught a scent that had an edge of familiarity… he recognized it off of Eros and in that moment he made his way through the woods, following the scent he had so expertly tracked. He arrived just to hear herself speak. “They do!” He added eagerly as he jumped out from the bush, not considering how this might appear to the girl who thought ghosts lived there. “It’s really creepy here when it’s quiet, but when it’s windy the branches make noises and it’s a little less scary.” It just seemed more normal when the clunking lingered in the background, at least to him.

Margo staggered back as the pup jumped out at her, making sure to put a few good feet worth of distance between them.  Her eyes stared wildly at the boy as he spoke, and she could feel all of the blood leaving her face.  Was he.. a ghost?  He sure didn't look like one, or at least he didn't look how she thought they would. The strange wolf didn't bear any transparency to his appearance, and his voice sure didn't sound distorted.  But she'd stated aloud that ghosts probably lived here, and he said they do.  That left two options, he's seen one, or he was one, right?

"D-do you know that because your soul is trapped and confined to these woods?" bound to only roam this creepy chunk of land.  How sad.  The girl thought that he'd probably felt pretty lonely out here all alone for who knows how long.

She looked so afraid and he understood. He too had been afraid when he had first stepped foot in the forest. Instead, he was just prancing around her, the happy go lucky kid he always tried to be… and then the question came and he frowned, his head tilting curiously to the side. “I mean… not really. I can go wherever I want. What’s a soul? What does that have to do with anything?” He asked, quite confused about the relevance of her question to anything that he had just said.

It still did not occur to him that he might be seen as a ghost by the girl. “You know Eros, right? You smell like him. We’re mud brothers, him and I… how do you know him?” The questions tumbled easily from his lips as he started to roll, his limbs splaying in the air as he tilted his head back to look at her, fidgety as always.

Within mere moments the poltergeist managed to stump the fae by using her own words against her.  She had no idea how to explain what a soul was, and as a matter of fact couldn't even remember where she'd learned the word herself.  Thank goodness the strange boy changed the subject before making her respond, because she truly had no idea what to say without risking the chance of sounding like a dummy.

"Yes!" The Valle child answered almost too quickly, excited that an easier topic was now being placed before her.  "Eros is my... Wait, what's a mud brother?" Margo wasn't sure why, but she was now feeling a little jealous of her brother Eros.  What was with this ghost wolf, and why was he causing her to feel so many different emotions when they'd only just met?

The topic of his soul seemed to dissipate as the girl answered quickly, talking about Eros before the question came. Seri shrugged because he didn’t really know how to answer. “I dunno, he just said we were mud brothers. I don’t have any siblings, and I don’t have a dad, and I only have one mom so he said he’d be my sibling and said he was my mud brother.” He hadn’t really known what the term meant, truly.

Still, he moved a little closer, his tail wagging from side to side. “He said he was gonna come on adventures with me so I’ve been hanging around the area waiting.” He explained more, which he did not realize the possible implications of that statement with the girl in front of him thinking he was some kind of ghostly figure from the forest rather than an actual living wolf.
