The silver Vuesain was excited that he got permission from his father that he could explore around the Lake as long as he was back before sunset. Giddy with excitement, he was eager to explore all of the Lake and see what he could find while he was out. Trotting along in the snow, the boy was curious when he spotted an opening alongside a cluster of tumbled mountain boulders. His curiosity getting the best of him when he approached the entrance, letting his seafoam gaze peer into the darkness. Just as he was about to fully enter the cave, he could hear the heavy breathing and the scent that hit him square in the nose. Frozen, the boy looked around cautiously as he realized he was in the den of a hibernating bear and her cubs.

Their father might trust Lynx to explore on his own without getting into trouble, but Leo did not. As soon as the mischievous Vuesain left the territory, his older brother was hot on his heels. He hung back though, not wanting to reveal his presence too soon – part of him probably excited at the opportunity to catch his little brother in doing something he wasn’t supposed to. However the plan backfired as he lost sight of the pale wolf for a moment, rounding a pile of rocks to find no sign of his victim.   Leo clicked his tongue in frustration, looking around frantically to spot where his brother could possibly have run off too. Finally his gaze fell on the tracks in the snow, leading towards the nearby rocks. Nose to the ground, the responsible brother followed the trail eagerly, only to come up short as it seemed to go into the rock pile. Head jolting back up, He looked around again, two-colored eyes narrowing as he spotted the crevasse, wondering just what might lie within. Finally he gave in, hissing a whispered: “Ly-ynx…?” Into the darkness. He’d rather prefer that the other pup come out on his own, instead of going in to find him. Thoughts ”Speech”

Chan hadn't meant to come across either of the young pups, but catching both of their scents while out scouting for prey he had turned to meet up with them regardless. After all, he would be leaving soon, and so he would not be passing up the opportunity to say hello and check in with any of his pack mates while he had the chance.

He saw Leo stopped, while Lynx was out of sight. His nose told them he was nearby though, and after a few more strides closer, his jaws parting to call out hello, it caught on to the presence of bear, too. Chan froze, his demeanor shifting abruptly from friendly to tensely alert.

His ears were pressed forward as he took careful, quiet steps, trying to assess the situation without startling anyone or anything.
