Woya Macieo
Related t' Al? she parroted, and while Aleister hadn't known Woya would be settling down with a pack nearby, she was a bit surprised for everyone to be so surprised about her existence. She supposed maybe it was because of his quiet nature.

"Doesn't talk much, huh?" she commiserated with a smile in reference to her oft-stoic cousin. Whatever, she supposed. Things could now change, Woya would make sure of it - her brother's children would be raised with family.

"Yeah, I got a home ta get back to."

Even if she didn't, she wasn't sure Al could persuade her to stay so high up.

She couldn’t help but snort, grinning back at Woya’s comment – that much they could easily agree on. But she couldn’t blame Aleister for her not knowing, not entirely anyway. Still, from the other woman’s reaction, it would appear Flair was not the only one who had been out of the loop.

“Ah,” She jerked her head upwards in an understanding gesture at the response to her question; “’s it far?” her voice was casual, eyes drifting away from the other wolf and out over the snow-covered forests below. She couldn’t help but think of her own family, so far north, wondering what had changed in the years since she left; I could have nieces and nephews now… The thought made her unexpectedly wistful, though there was plenty of things she didn’t miss about her old life, she did still love her siblings and hoped they were happy.

But the thought of heading home for a visit made a cold shiver run down her spine, and she quickly returned her attention to Woya, waiting curiously for her answer.

The other woman continued her questions, which were growing shorter with each turn. Woya couldn't help but cock a brow, wondering if the red-tinted wolf was really enjoying such a monotonous topic. She herself wasn't a fan of being the only one to share, and decided it was the other's turn to be gently interrogated.

She tossed her muzzle eastward, toward the opposing rim and the forests it currently concealed from view.

"Couple'a days, not too far though all that damned snow sure did make it a bitch to get along."

Honeyed eyes glanced with displeasure at the slide whose noise had first attracted Woya's company before her limbs started to move, carrying her past it and the other wolf. They could talk and still get exercise, after all.

"What about you, you ain't a Macieo are ya? Didn't think Vuesains got so orange, either."

Blaah! Sorry this was left to sit for so long :/ I'm fine with just fading as they continue the convo, if you wanna get it finished.

She hadn’t really noticed the one-sidedness of the conversation; Her focus was learning about this stranger with apparent ties to the pack, and as long as she wasn’t asked any direct questions, she wasn’t likely to volunteer any information about herself. She’d never been much of a conversationalist, as her attempt at an icebreaker had clearly shown, and honestly felt much more comfortable just asking questions.

But Woya was done being interrogated, casting a dismissive look at the piled snow as she gave her last answer and then she was on the move. Surprised by this change, Flair took a moment to follow, giving the avalanche a look of her own under furrowed brows. Then she jumped to her paws, trotting after the pale wolf until they were shoulder to shoulder - with a respectful space in between.

She would have asked more about this neighboring pack, apparently settled in, what Flair thought of as, the dark and overgrown eastern woods. But Woya finally managed to get in a question of her own, stumping the fiery woman. She’d never actually heard Al’s mother’s name before, but could extrapolate from the context, a half snort escaping her at the thought. “Nah m’ fam’ly’s from up north, the red’s from m’ gramma,” She explained with a crooked smile, giving one shoulder a shrug. She’d never met her namesake, who died before her mother moved them all back there, but she’d heard plenty stories of the old woman; Not sure if I’m better off or not…

Someone from the North, she answered, but did not expand. Woya gave a soft hm, then decided she might as well continue to pry now that she'd gotten the conversation to shift. She would ask the other woman why she was here then, up on the mountain and living amongst her cousin and his would-be harem, and several questions more after that.

A pleasant, simple little chitchat.
