Ledavia Rosemary
Random Event Sentence: Leda, during your dig you uncovered a fallen — and active — bee's nest. They're not happy!
Note: While this thread is a starter for Scully, I'd be okay with other wolves dropping in too.

Leda had been hunting, though she'd lost her appetite after eating half of the rabbit. So, remembering how the first wolf she had met in this area (that wolf being Merrick, whose name she still does not know) had acted, she was setting off to bury the rest of her kill for later in the evening. As she was digging, thinking about how pleased she was that the sun was going down, her paws suddenly met something under the earth. Papery, and when she pressed harder to dig deeper, her paw sank in and she heard it.

The dreaded buzz of angry bees. She yanked her paw away from the hole she'd been working on, and took off in a random direction, half-eaten meal still in her mouth. Food was scarce, and she wasn't about to lose the rest of her rabbit. She needed to find the Lagoon. Diving into the water would surely waylay the bees and send them on their way.

But instead of the Lagoon, as she'd run in the wrong direction in her panic, she slammed into another wolf, hard enough that she lost her footing and her rabbit. The bees, still a genuine threat, would now have both Leda and whoever she'd run into in their sights.

Scully Archer
Scully had been seeking water, concern etching itself deep within his being at this point. What he worried for was @Avella- the possibility of losing his sibling to childbirth under these conditions was all too real, and for once the Archer heir was taking matters deathly serious. At least he'd been able to figure out that turtle carapaces could carry water, and took trips to the Lagoon for his sister as needed. What if that went away too, though?

No wonder their parents had left.

The thought crossed his mind just before the sound of rushing and humming entered his ears, masked skull lifting in time to spot the stranger before she barreled into him. The wind was knocked from his chest and he tumbled, caught completely off-guard. He might've snapped at her even while still tangled together upon the ground, were it not for the sharp stings of the hornets that began to pepper his hide. Scully yelped and scrambled to get onto his feet and take off in any direction, away from the swarm.

Leda yelped, darting away as quickly as she was able. She didn't even find the breath to apologize, even as she tried to figure out how to lose the swarm of bees that plagued her. Eventually, she ran far enough that the bees dispersed, and she was left with various stings and stingers to deal with. She flinched, thinking back to a similar time that she'd run into bees as a pup. Her mother had carefully pulled the stingers out, and she huffed, setting to work with the stingers that had to be in her paws.

She'd not be able to get to any that were on her back, shoulders, or face. But maybe she'd soak in the nearest area of water... attempt to get them out that way. She was quiet, as she limped along towards where she had last seen her rabbit. No use in losing her meal entirely, though she was sure that only part of it was edible now.

Scully Archer
Scully heard the other wolf taking flight at his heels, and when she slowed so did he. They'd apparently gone far enough to shake the livid insects, but the pain remained throughout his hide, burning beneath the skin. He'd already been in a sour mood, yet it wasn't just hurt this stranger had added to his day - she went with insult, too.

She didn't say a word to him, just figuratively brushing herself off and setting about looking for something. Scully scowled, scandalized by how audaciously rude the other wolf was.

"Hello? The fuck is your problem?"

Leda flinched at the male's harsh tone, and stopped dead in her tracks. She'd been heading away from him, to find her meal, and as her ears flattened she looked over her shoulder. "I didn't bring them on purpose. The bees." She muttered, sourly.

"What's your problem?" He was in a bad mood, which considering they'd been stung a number of times, and she'd bumped into him in the first place, he had the right to be in a bad mood. But Leda didn't think it was fair to direct that at her; she was hungry, in pain, and probably going to be dealing with stingers for a while.

Without waiting for a proper answer, she started back on her way, slowly limping towards where she'd thrown her meal.

Scully Archer
That got her attention at least. When she faced him over the angle of her shoulder he greeted her with a glowering expression, tail bristling at his hocks. The wolf didn't give Scully what he wanted, instead poking the coals and stirring the flames with her own flavor of sass. He bared gritted fangs in response, and when she turned away from him he huffed with annoyance.

Determinedly he sprinted forward, moving quickly to put himself in her way and make her fully acknowledge him.

"Most wolves say some'in' when they throw someone to the ground. Like, excuse me or sorry or anything that acknowledges I'm more'n some bush ya tripped over."

His voice dripped with ire and exasperation, and attempts of hers to move away or around him would be blocked the best to his ability.
