Sanguine Cove Watch my flow

This is a thread for the pups first lesson. All are welcome to come and watch and interact. @Diantha @Galen @Aleister specifically.

Her pups were growing so fast. The crow hated it. Soon enough they would be big enough to head out on their own and do whatever they liked. She wished they'd stay small forever but she knew that there wasn't really much she could do about it. All she could do was hope that when they grew up they would stay with her and Lee in the cove.

As they grew they would need to learn to take care of themselves. The cove Leader intended to prepared them as best she could for their futures. They needed to start small though and with her pups having only just opened their eyes a short time ago she had a plan that she thought they would enjoy and learn something too.

"Alright children," she called to them from outside the den. "We've got some things to do today as a family. Now stay with me," she said as she led them off into the forest of the cove. Oksana had a particular place in mind for her little lesson.

Diantha was quickly coming to the conclusion that she was not a fan of this whole 'waking up' thing. Once she'd been up for a bit and gotten her bearings she was fine; just as eager to play as the rest of her siblings. The actual waking up itself? Not great. She felt groggy and heavy and the light hurt her eyes. She far preferred the quiet comfort of falling asleep.

Today it was her mother that woke her, calling down into the den and informing them there were things to do. That didn't seem quite fair, waking her up and immediately dragging her off to do stuff. Even so, the girl dragged herself to her feet and crawled to meet her mother, blinking in the sunlight and yawning. Hopefully whatever 'family business' meant, it would be fun.

The silver girl was peaceful in her sleep as she napped away alongside her siblings. The Vuesain pup was content to stay this way, but it was her mother's cooing voice thay called her out of her slumber, pulling her pale eyelids open as her puppy blue gaze peered up at her mother. Blinking rapidly as her light eyes tried to adjust to the sudden light, a large yawn escaped her maw as she tried to rouse herself more.

Following after her sister, the pale colored cub was second to meet their mother outside. Whatever this "family business" was, Star was hopeful it didn't take long so she could return to napping.

It was the stirring of his sisters and the receding warmth at his sides that had roused the dark-haired boy from his slumber enough to flutter open inky lids and bring his gaze toward the blinding light of the den's entrance where the soothing voice of their mother filtered down. Not only had his sisters woken the slumbering boy, but now their mother was beckoning them outside to do stuff. Ugh, Galen just wanted to nap a little more, but whatever mother or pops wanted must be important.

With a huff of indifference, the inky boy finally got to his paws to follow suit behind the pale silhouette of his sister to where their mother waited. Once outside puppy blue eyes blinked rapidly to adjust to the major change in light until the more appealing sight of their mother's face came into focus. Now what was on the agenda for today?

The dark little pup was at the mouth of the den waiting and debating. She knew her mother didn't want her going out into the light but she just couldn't help herself. She wanted to go and run around and she didn't care much for the rules. She was still small though and didn't know where her mother was. At least she didn't until she heard her voice coming from outside the den. They were going tonget to go and play outside.

The little Starling raced out of the den as fast as her short little legs would carry her. She didn't know what her mother had in mind but Feyre was going to be the first one there. She'd allowed her siblings to get past her but not for long. As soon as she was outside she didn't see any reason she couldn't give Di's ear a nibble while they waited for mother to tell them what was next.

Oksana was a patient woman and waited for each of her four children to meet her outside the den. Her banner waved over her back as each one of her children appeared from the den. She smiled at each of them and touched her nose to each of their foreheads. An exasperated sound escaped her at the antics of her youngest daughter, "Feyre, I'm sure Di doesn't want you tugging her ear," she reprimanded her look-alike.

Once they were all outside the den she gave her brood a once over before speaking once more. "I hope everyone's awake cause we've got a little walk ahead of us." She had chosen a small clearing not far from the den but where she knew grasshoppers to be. A perfect place for their first hunting lesson.

Di waited patiently for her siblings to rise and follow them. She was intensely curious about what her mom wanted to show them, of course, but managed to refrain from shouting at the others to hurry up. It didn't take them long to appear anyway, appearing one by one from the den. Fay, of course, rocketed out and stopped beside her, promptly nibbling on her ear.

Their mother admonished Fey, but Diantha was determined she could do better. She turned on her sister, rising on her back legs with a playful squeal and dropped down on her sister, trying to use her front paws to roll Fey onto her side even as she latched her tiny teeth onto her scruff and tugged.

One by one the pups managed to filter themselves out of the den and into the brightness of the outside world, his sister Feyre seemingly the most excited of the bunch and the first to instigate some form of trouble by nibbling at their other sister's ear. Galen was just thankful his ears were spared the torture of needle-like teeth this time around. Soon, though, their mother began to fill the brood in on why she had roused them from the den. Apparently, she had adventures planned for them and excitement began to flood the inky boy's body at a high enough level his tail wagged a million miles an hour.

Of course, they couldn't start this little walk of theirs right away. Not one to be outdone, Di had to one-up Feyre. Galen huffed with a roll of his eyes. This could take a minute.

The little Blackbird wasn't exactly ignoring her mother. It was just that chewing on her sisters ear was more fun. She'd heard her brother come out of the den and was consodering her options. Maybe his ear needed chewed on too. The last thing she wanted was for Galen to feel left out. Too late though, her mother said something to her about what she was doing. She stopped her ears flattening against her head. She knew this was the nice warning before things really got out of hand.

Feyre decided it best to stop for the moment. At least while their mother spoke of them having some walking. She was definitely ready for that. Anything to get out of the den for awhile. However, before they could even get moving Di was on top of her pushing her to her side. A surprised yelp left her little maw when she felt sharp puppy teeth sink into her ear. Turning her head she moved to latch on to the nearest foreleg of Di's.

Oksana was ready to get this little adventure going. She hoped that she could keep her dark furred daughter in line for the duration. A quick reprimand and they would ve on their way. The new mother was really looking forward to the afternoon with her children even they could ve a handful at times. She turned to leas them to the clearing but was stopped when she heard the yelp of one of her daughters.

Turning she saw Di seemed to be getting her revenge on Feyre. The crow assumed that it had been her troublemaker of a daughter that had yelped. She almost wanted to tell her it served her right. She didn't though. Instead she had to break this up. "Di, Feyre if you can get along you can stay here and Galen and I will go on our own. I'm sure he wouldn't mind some quality time with his mother." She stood there a moment waiting to see if they would heed her words and quit or if she needed to take further action.
