Random Event: Magg, lightning strikes a tree right next to you. All welcome! Heads up to parents @Nash and @Aquene!
Magg remained rather unaffected by the pack's great loss. While the temperaments of her parents had shifted, they still provided her with the love and care she needed, sufficiently keeping the young girl happy. Still, it didn't stop her from showing feigned sympathy. When they were down or even crying, she'd crawl up to them with her soft puppy whines and cuddle and coo with them until things changed. It helped her get even more attention, reinforcing the little act.
At this time, however, their den was empty. Everyone was out and about doing one thing or another, and even the sun had gone somewhere else. Instead of soft blues and whites, the sky above was darkened with storm clouds that refused to let go of their rain. Oblivious to the dangers they still presented, the child had decided to take the opportunity to venture out and explore a little.
She ended up discovering a dead tree along the lake's shore, brittle and rotted. It was shedding its branches in chunks, most often sawed away by insects and the birds that fed on them. Magg took her pick of the spoils, settling onto her belly with a large chunk of crumbling wood to gnaw on. Above, the sky boiled and thunder began to whisper.
