AW, no post order if this turns into a group thread, will do dated rounds. <3
set for 9/2, sunset.

He had left after three days of rest in the Chasm, then told @Woya of his plans to head out. A three-day trip shouldn't have hit as hard as it did. Only a day of it was up a mountain and he had the mass of a mammoth. Which left him heaving and exhausted by the time he had arrived.

Some time had been spent by himself, composing himself so he did not collapse of exhaustion upon their borders. By the time he had managed to be well composed enough to seem diplomatic and not rushed, the sun had begun its slow crawl downwards. He was a smudge against the beautiful sunset.

But, hey, enough dilly-dallying.

He tilted his head back and let out a long, low summons. A visitor from the Chasm had arrived.

Oksana Baranski
As always time had passed since Al's death. The cove was moving on with things and now that she had Nash leading beside her Oksana felt less overwhelmed. The pain of losing her husband was still there but each day her children made her smile. With each passing day deep down the cove matriarch felt she was going to be okay. That wouldn't drown under the weight of such and immense loss.

The low call from the border caused Oksana's head to turn. They had a visitor, the first since Chan. Even more so they were from the Chasm. Oksana hoped that they didn't bring good news. Her children were big enough to play on their own and she could assume that Moonshadow was nearby. So the crow rose to her feet and hurried toward the border.

When she reached it she found a wolf shed never met before. "Hello there. I'm Oksana leader of the cove. How can I help you?" She asked.

Hircine

It was a pretty face that greeted him. She was raven-like, haunting orange eyes. She had that touch of motherhood like Woya. Although he reminded himself he wasn't here on that kind of diplomatic mission.

Oksana, good to meet you. He gave a respectful bow of his head, aware of her authority here. I am Hircine. I come on behalf of Fools Gold Chasm. Woya wished to send somebody to do a check-in on the rain and health of those here.

Oh! And Levi had sent him with a gift, but he supposed he could give that up towards the end. The deerskin hid the bundles of gifts that the medic had prepared.

Nash Eastfall

Nash was quickly taking to his new role. He was surprised by how much he felt mostly the same; he still did his usual routine, only now he held more authority. It wasn't as though he ever felt the need to wield it, though; nobody in the Cove ever made enough trouble to warrant pulling rank. The pups and their shenanigans aside, anwyay.

It was perfectly natural for the Eastfall to turn his paws toward the call from their borders, picking up his pace to a swift lope to reach their visitor. His co-lead had beaten him, but their visitor was only just introducing himself so Nash didn't feel as though he were late. He came up beside Sana, reminding himself that he could stand beside her rather than hanging back a step. He nodded to Hircine when he finished speaking. "I'm Nash, Oksana's co-lead," he said. "The rain has begun to refill the lake, thankfully, and we're preparing for winter. How are things in the Chasm? Are you still having to travel for water?"

As he finished Nash glanced at Sana, hoping to glean if she felt he'd overstepped by speaking first. They may technically be equals, but in his eyes she was the true leader of the Cove and, at least for now, still deferred to her.

Oksana was grateful for the visit from the Chasm wolf. She'd worried that with her husband's death it might strain the relationship between the two packs. That was the last thing she wanted. Oksana might be the leader now but there were so many things that she didn't want to change even if it felt like everything was changing around her. Sometimes she felt she couldn't keep up but she did her best to keep those feelings to herself.

The wolf in front of her seemed polite and that she welcomed. As Hircine spoke she sensed Nash at her side. When he finished explaining what had brought him to their borders Nash spoke speaking of the lake. "Everyone here is in good health despite recent events," she added hoping that Woya would have told this man of their loss.

She didn't mind at all that Nash had spoken up before her. She was almost grateful for the simple fact it took some of the pressure off her. She still wasn't at her best. Oksana knew that inside she just couldn't let the pack see it. She didn't want them to lose confidence in her when all she needed was some time.
