Fool's Gold Chasm destiny is a funny thing

Geminia found herself eager to learn all that there was. She had found herself more motivated after her conversation with Woya about what role she might take within the Chasm. Even Marrah’s leave did not work to dampen her enthusiasm… she did not know the girl well, but the loss of another of their adult ranks did leave a blow, especially with so many pups running around. Eight adults, including one who was a Probationer to six children… them growing and learning more certainly would help, but that took time.

The fall was starting to settle in, and she found herself nervous about the winter months as well, drawing her to the border where marks in the dirt and scents of droppings pointed to signs of a herd having drawn close. The scents were almost half a day old, the tracks showing promise of multiple deer, but she did not know how to decipher where they might have gone so she raised her maw, calling for Woya… the woman had offered to help her explore her interests, and if she could steal a moment of the alpha’s time, she would most certainly take her up on it.

Woya was making do. It helped to keep busy, and her bustling litter could certainly manage the job all on their own. There was far more than them to tend to however, and some of those other things better helped in quieting her buzzing mind. Interaction with the other adults was (usually) one of them, anything involving conversation constantly pulling her out of her head where she needed to stay.

As such, when she heard Geminia call, she had little issue heading her way. She'd only been strengthening their scent markers, one of her least favorite tasks. She could leave it to the others, but not one of inch of her could tolerate the idea of someone mistaking this place as not hers too. Now satisfied her presence was known, she abandoned the pursuit to follow after where her ears told her the sound had originated from.

When she found the teen, Woya could also scent deer and spy traces of their presence throughout the area. It was easy to guess that they had something to do with why she'd been summoned. She regarded the youth with a tilted head, silently inviting Gem to fill her in.
