Magg Slayer
'Well, the party is back,' he returned, and Magg couldn't help but giggle and wag her tail happily at the words. It didn't last, surprise taking the mantle of her chief emotion as he was all-but-suddenly embracing her. It was luck, really, that she had been the first to greet him and that they were having this conversation at all. Still, the young girl couldn't help but let it make her feel special, something she quite adored. It could even be said she was becoming somewhat addicted to this special species of butterflies that took flight in her stomach whenever small moments like this occurred.

She met his gaze in like when he pulled back, and smiled toothily at her friend.

"You know it," she replied proudly, tilting her face to give him a better view of the deep cuts. Magg was rather self-satisfied with the story and would have no qualms giving her version of the details. Her father arrived then, however, his voice catching her attention. Her head spun owlishly to spot him, and her tail beat the air with another bout of glee.

She answered him with a brisk nod, happy to help. There was still the walk back though first, right? She would fall into step with Galen, continuing to give him the bulk of her attention.

"I knew you'd be okay though. We're tough, right?" she picked up their conversation again, tossing her shoulder into his playfully.

Galen Vuesain
Galen had no doubts that Magg was one of if not the toughest, pups that lived inside the Cove. Reflecting back to their lakeside conversation way back when it brought a warm and genuine smile to the swarthy boy's face as the girl showed off her new facial decor. His golden gaze adopted a look of wonder taking in their sight more thoroughly before their conversation was interrupted by the appearance of Nash.

His moniker was announced in a warm tone before his forehead received a gentle brush from the man's nose in greeting, finding himself enjoying the slight bout of physical touch. At the prospect of food, it was then that the dark-coated boy's stomach gave a vociferous rumble in remembrance of how long it had been since he had a meal that didn't consist of gangly scraps scavenged off another's kill. Sheepishly Galen flattened his ears momentarily while feeling the apple of his cheeks flush beneath his fur, shaking the small bout of embarrassment once Magg struck their conversation back up while heading inside.

"We're the toughest ones out there." He flashed Magg a confident grin, playfully shoving his shoulder into hers in return before chuckling lightly. "They better watch out."
