Woya Macieo
God the girl was irritating. Woya thought maybe it was how unabashed she was about her bullying, how little self-awareness, shame or even concern the young wolf had about aggressively pushing so many boundaries. She wasn't concerned for the yearling herself; she clearly deserved whatever misfortune came her way. What worried her was that this was apparently the kind of feral creature one could find upon the mountain, where she had chosen to bring her children and where @Feyre and Star had wandered off without any sort of protection.

The girl turned her back, and Woya's eyes narrowed. She took a quiet step forward and then another with her petite paws, anticipation growing as Ryenne got ever closer to the edge- then the girl turned to look, and Woya blinked back at her with all the innocence of a perturbed lamb.

She rolled her eyes at the girl's question.

"Go around? The way you talk to a complete stranger, you'd think you'd be any good at this. Thought you were spry," she goaded, muzzle swinging to motion toward the ice-and-snow laden slope that could get them lower and hopefully find a more level entrance. Treacherous for the unskilled, but careful paws could make their way down.

Ryenne
If she had been paying any attention Rye would have noticed the woman was closer than where she had been initially, but she was so caught up in herself that she was blind to anything potentially untoward. The rolling of the eyes didn't diminish Rye's glee in the slightest, in fact she felt better knowing her question had gotten under the woman's skin. Another success for her.

On any other day the woman's clear intention to frazzle and swing it around back on Rye may have worked, but her fiendish mood could not be swayed in the slightest, and she instead scoffed loudly, rolling her own eyes in response. "I know that much, just thought with all your years of experience you'd have another way."

But spry she was, and with another giggle she set off on the slope that would give them one way of getting lower and maybe towards some type of opening. The snow was slippery, and with her large frame she was top-heavy and a little unbalanced. It certainly did not help that Rye was seemingly unbothered by the possibility of falling to her death, moving faster and much more recklessly than she should've been. There were multiple slips and slides, but she was having fun and that was all the mattered.

"Last one there's an old hag!" She called out over her shoulder with a pointed look up at the woman.

Woya Macieo
The girl had yet to appear temperamental to Woya. In fact, she seemed stubbornly gleeful in a way that definitely got under her skin. Hopefully this was a wolf she would never, ever cross paths with again. Still, the older woman couldn't help the crooked smile that flashed across her muzzle as Ryenne charged ahead all the same, throwing up a challenge.

She had half a mind to shout 'wait up!' then simply turn and trot right on back home, vanishing from the uncouth little girl's life before she was any the wiser. It would be worthwhile knowing if there were any hints of her baby cousins, though...

Woya followed a few yards behind, being far more graceful in her descent than the brash yearling. When they reached the mouth, she feigned a slip and regarded her next step with extreme caution. She shouted ahead to Ryenne, "what do you see?"

Rye was too caught up in her own world and looking around to notice the woman slip, but if she had she wouldn't have cared in the slightest. It wasn't her fault if the woman fell to her death, and she wasn't one to put herself in a precarious situation to help someone else. It was a dog eat dog world out there, after all.

She tipped her head back to stare up at the steep walls, one ear flicking back as the woman called out to her. There would be no way in hell she could climb out other than by going back up the slope she had probably almost died a few times running down. Yellow eyes dropped down to stare into the blackness, squinting to try and make out anything up ahead. As far as she could see, which wasn't very far ahead, there was nothing. A quick sniff of the air didn't reveal any scents other than dust and rock.

"Absolutely nothing," Rye called back over her shoulder, not even sparing the woman a glance. She gingerly stepped forward into the darkness, her eyes slowly beginning to adjust the longer she stared into it. A loud huff escaped her. "A shame." Too bad, she was hoping there'd be some type of mangy scavenger she could scare into submission, or maybe even steal something from.

Woya Macieo
There it was. The mystery yearling seemed to deem her unthreatening enough to let her guard drop, not even glancing Woya's way. As quietly and quickly as she could, the lithe woman closed the distance between them, all but floating over snow and stone. Absolutely nothing, she heard and felt immeasurable satisfaction. Good, and now...

Revenge.

Woya lunged, throwing all of her weight against the young girl in an effort to shove her into the same pit she'd almost knocked the displaced alpha into. If she pulled it off, Ryenne would disappear into the darkness and she'd be safe to saunter back home. If it didn't, she was ready to turn and bolt before things escalated further.

Ryenne
S for mild swearing cause Rye said a bad word ;P

She was too busy trying to see into the darkness, with very little success, that any indication of the woman sneaking up behind her was all but unknown to Rye. One moment she was leaning forward, squinting heavily and muttering softly to herself under her breath, and the next a surprisingly heavy weight pushed her further forwards. She teetered, a strangled cry forming in her throat as her neck twisted around to find the woman right up in her personal space.

Feeling the ground crumble beneath her paws Rye tried to spin, one hind paw fully slipping and dropping below the ledge even as she reached for more stable ground. Her jaws snapped harshly at the woman, trying her best to grab anything - fur, skin, a leg, whatever was closest - that could anchor her. But she missed, and quite terribly at that.

Her other hind leg slipped, and her own heavy weight swiftly dragged her backwards until just her front paws were scrabbling desperately at the ledge. But she wouldn't beg to be saved, that was cowardly, especially not from the woman who had pushed her in the first place.

"You fucking bitch!" Rye snarled out, "You'll pay for this!" She managed to get the words out before her front paws lost grip and she fell backwards, sliding ass first down the steep slope into the blackness below. At some point she hit a rock and began sliding sideways, still somehow going further down until her head harshly landed on solid ground and everything went dark.

Woya Macieo
When she made contact, Woya had the feeling deep in her gut that she'd succeeded. The next few moments seemed to play out in slow motion, from the turn of the stranger's head and the shocked widening of her daisy eyes to the moment she disappeared from sight. First their eyes locked, wherein Ryenne would witness the smuggest of looks upon the tiny woman's face. Chin tilted up, muzzle wrinkled and longteeth poking through as she smiled devilishly, eyes pinched with glee and a glint of you asked for this.

Of course, she wasn't considering the fact that the young girl could have very well fallen to her death, or otherwise received injuries that might prevent her from being able to escape the pit. If the thought had crossed her mind, she might have felt guilty. When the girl shouted her threat, however, Woya's eyes narrowed and she found herself quite happy that she heard nothing else from the yearling after she vanished into the dark depths.

Maybe this was a mistake, indulging in that impulse and making an enemy in the place she'd brought her young children to... Nah. The brat would surely never get around the pack protecting them all. Woya turned and kicked up the snow, sending a few flurries down into the cavernous opening before trotting off with her head held high.
