Giant's Demise never letting go

Accepting another wolf’s help, and then actually following through with it, felt like one of the hardest things Cole had ever had to do. Both physically - attempting to balance herself on a frozen tree trunk with only three good limbs and another trying to support her - as well as mentally. Being vulnerable wasn’t exactly something the ghost liked to put forth. Much less did she like having to rely on others. A part of her preferred to feel the pain of losing her bad eye again over this - but what choice was there?

Cole chose to focus instead on the response she received, the tiniest of laughs escaping her at the latter part of it. She could sympathize. ”I can imagine,” the ghost murmured, permitting herself a small smile at that. If only because she doubted her company would witness it.

Surprisingly though, it went.. decently well. Finley only slipped once, but recovered, and the two of them were able to make it back onto higher ground, making the job of heading home easier.
