Tulip was no spring fawn anymore, her trip to the mountain was taking longer than anticipated. Her age was beginning to slow her down with the steady approach of her 7th birthday. Her joints felt it. The few strands of white and silver emerging where they once were not showing it. The woman grumbled to herself, marching to the base of the mountain. A loud humph escaped the wolf as she flopped to the ground. The small woman lay there panting, utterly exhausted. This trip was taking every ounce of her strength. So she rested, eyes half opened and peering out in front of herself. Maw crossed over her paws and her body sprawled out comfortably. Well, as much as her aching form could find comfortable.

The yearling girl was tired, but there was an urgency in her steps. She was close to her destination now, with only the final ascent up the mountain's flanks ahead of her before she'd be home.

It would be a relief to be back, especially after this trip, though Stella wished she had any good news to bring back with her. She'd been gone longer than planned. At the very least she had confirmed the missing Valle girl was alive but well could not really be said with any confidence. And short of kidnapping an unwilling (and likely murderously bitey) girl and likely souring any future further, there was nothing else to do but bring home word. Word from up north too, she reminded herself.

At least... at least she'd be able to rest. Talk to Leo. Talk to Pa. She still did that a lot, seeking out for guidance or at least release. Her thoughts were only on reaching the lake now, until a strange scent broke her from her self-absorption. The Vuesain girl's nose twitched and after a moment she sought out the other woman's trail, curious despite herself. There was a part of her, too, that wanted to do something worthwhile with this trip, even if it were last-minute.

Shaded ears perked forward as she spotted the woman, presumably resting not far off the path. "Uh, hello there," she called out before approaching, not wishing to startle her.

Tulip blinked absent-mindedly at the greeting. Pulled out of her daze with an irritable sigh. The woman looked over with disinterest on her face, ready to cower away from the girl when...no. Couldn't be. Could it? Her merky eyes lit up and a smile broke out on her features. "Hello." She greeted raising up on short shaky legs. She closed the distance between them, leaving a comfortable gap. Her head was low, her ears pinned, and her tail tucked submissively despite the evident toothy grin on her face.

Tulip's rough speech began to pour out, "I'm sorry, but you have this scent on you it's really familiar. Like someone I know...and I was just hoping...maybe...if you're from Fallen Tree Cove? I apologize if that's not an appropriate question from a stranger, but you see they took me in as a yearling and I've missed 'Oon greatly." The word vomit was fast, eager, shaky, and all at once. The more she talked the more her tail began to wag uncontrollably against her belly. Thoughts of missing her dear Solas fell back for the moment as hope erupted within the old wolf.

Tulip has a speech impairment that causes her to talk with a severe lisp and has selective mutism. I will not be writing her words to reflect this (outside of going mute), but ask those who roleplay with her to understand it's implied.
