It would not be his inky father who appeared next but instead his tawny littermate - looking just as panicked as he felt. She quickly settled in besides him sandwiching him between her and their grandmother. Whines fell upon his fluffy audits before he added his own to the quiet symphony. Matos' coal nose nudged Magg's cream colored cheek in an attempt to provide them both the comfort they desperately sought. Grandma's voice was calming for the new yearling as she explained what was going on within the den. Still though, his anxiety and heartrate wouldn't ease until he saw his father.
Luckily they wouldn't have to wait much longer. Nash emerged from the earth, dark audits stood at attention as the news was delivered.
A sister... The thought swirled a moment before settling, the feeling would come later. For now his dad allowed them to go in and see their mother as well as meet their baby sister for the first time. Unaware of uncustomary the allowance was. Slowly he rose, peeling himself out from between his family. Hesitantly the ebony Eastfall-Slayer boy wiggled his way into the birthing den. The scent of blood and afterbirth filled his nostrils, causing a small snort to come from them.
"Hi mama" he whispered with lowered ears and wide gaze. His mother moved to reveal the
very tiny dark bundle at her belly. Matos nodded quietly as Aquene stated how they'd be good siblings to Eclypse. Helping to teach her everything they had been taught. He would be more than happy to help with his newest sister but worry began to gnaw at him...would he be any good at it?
Not long after his mother spoke to them did he sense it was time to leave. She looked utterly exhausted, and honestly he was tired too. Coming down from the sudden adrenaline rush left the boy sleepy. Quietly he slipped out of the den and went to his father giving him a nudge to his chin. After the yearling settled in opposite to his father on the other side of the entrance with a little more clearance. His lanky yearling frame laid on the grass beneath him with his head settling upon his forelimbs. He would also sit there but would more likely fall asleep.
