Specter Winterfall
@Marigold
Few clouds 8.51 ° F, -13.05 ° C, at the pack borders

He had risen with the sun to explore the forest that held Paradise Falls. The tall looming trees made a pretty sight, especially with how the morning light peeked between the clouds dappling the snow and trees alike. As it rose higher in the air he found himself carefully investigating at the borders of the pack. Paw prints showing clearly in the churned snow, giving him a clear boundary.

Specter carefully sniffed at the well marked border, inhaling the scent of needles, warm stones, and fresh water. The last one fainter than the others likely because of how winter would have frozen over any smaller bodies of water. It was the same scent that had clung to Chan so Specter knew that he was in the right place. Granted he wasn't sure he would have minded if it was the wrong pack, not with how inviting the area seemed.

Knowing he was pushing his luck if any protective guardians saw him the pale man kept his ears swiveled to catch any sound from within even as he peered curiously between the trees beyond the markers. He wouldn't blame anyone if he ended up being chased off. It was his own curiosity that had led him to linger this close.

Marigold Tanga

Marigold happened to be the interim guardian on duty today, and when she caught on to the stranger's scent it was already far too strong for her liking. Especially with March around the corner, she had extra reason to be wary of rogue males. Mar would be damned if she let some fork-tongued Romeo slither past her to bother poor @Finley or any of the yearlings. She didn't try to get the jump on him, nor wait until he could be spotted within the trees. Once she was on to his presence, Marigold was practically bulldozing her way to him, barking loudly and aggressively along the way.

If she were lucky, he'd split then and there, for she was mostly more bark than bite. If he didn't, though? When Marigold got to where he was her blonde fur would be puffed into spikes and her sharp fangs bared, ready to do what it took to protect her home.

Specter Winterfall
He only had a short amount of time to appreciate the sight of the tall trees and the little he could see beyond it before he heard the sound of aggressive barking. Specter's ears flattened as he immediately backed off from the border, putting a more respectful distance between him and it. His pale body lowering as he heard the loud and quick approach of someone running his way. He had half a mind to take off knowing some guards took their jobs seriously, but instead he kept himself lowered, tail curled under him, while keeping his muscles tensed in case he had to spring out of the way of snapping jaws.

Brown eyes snapped to the pale form that burst from the trees and his frame lowered more until his belly brushed the ground. Her fangs were bared towards him and he immediately tipped his head slightly to show his throat, though he kept watch for any movement that meant that she would do more with those teeth than just show them.

"I'm not here to cause trouble." Specter said keeping his voice low and calm.

The stranger was low to the ground and deferred to her appropriately, easing her ire minutely. Enough for her lips to be drawn back down over hers fangs and her posture to straighten into her full height. Her chin was tipped, cold silver eyes looking down an off-white snout at him. He knew the position he was then, but why'd he let it come to this to begin with?

"What do you want?" her voice was firm and demanding, though her tone spoke of a level of disinterest. As with most things that came her way, Marigold was already skeptical of the man in front of her. She doubted he was about to give her any kind of an answer other than routine. What she needed to know now, was whether she needed to call @Finley or just see the guy out herself. If whatever he was after wasn't relevant to the pack, he could move along.
