It felt unnatural to hate rain as much as she did… the steady downpour outside crept into the den and soaked her paws and she loathed every second of it. She did not mind being wet, but the near assaulting presence of the drops pelting her did little to make her like it in this moment. Each dagger had dug into her fur until she’d been able to hide away. She tried to remind herself that it was a blessing from the Gods, but in this moment, it was difficult to feel even that.
And she was stranded, pulling back further into the den in an attempt to dry off as a shiver ran down her spine. She still was not fully recovered from the swim she had taken unintentionally before the pack meeting and had a chill ever since. She was freezing, in fact! However, rather than blaming her immune system still in shock, she chose to blame the rain instead. It was all the rain’s fault, even if it was meant to be a blessing from the Gods.
