After a long silence, Cashew lifted his head and released a beckoning. He'd failed to recognize the scent of one of his various one-night stands, a crucial mistake.

Cashew Lakewood
He'd done his adventuring, checked out the lands, and made his way over the mountain and back to Kingsfall. No particular place had yet to stand out to him. All he truly wanted was for his family to hurry up and find him. Perhaps settling somewhere for the time would speed up the process. He followed the scent trails until they were heavy, clearly marking a line in which not to pass over. The tall man halted and blinked his eyes—a blank stare with no thoughts behind them.

Chan Eastfall
This place was certainly becoming busy, wasn't it? Chan had mixed feelings on it all, but none he felt entitled to make anyone else's issue. He had to take what the world gave him, hard stop. He moved toward the call at a brisk pace, wanting to get this encounter over with if possible; he'd been in the middle of trying to spend time with his family, something that was becoming far more difficult to do. Already, leadership was more a problem than a boon.
"Hello," he greeted with a friendly smile that didn't necessarily reach his eyes. For a long time, Chan had been able to expertly hide his emotions on a whim. Almost as if he were desperate to minimize his impact on others, to always tread carefully around their feelings and vices and egos, to be the perfect companion in service of those who crossed his path. That drive was rapidly dwindling now, a moon's cycle away from turning 7 and so much loss laced throughout each of those years regardless of his many efforts.
Now? He just wanted to be there as his kids grew up.
"How can I help you?"
