OOC: She is seeking to join a pack.

Life had not been kind to her thus far, ousted from the lands she had been born to and forced to find her own way in this world. Exiled by her own father, who had called her disrespectful and disloyal. Of course this had been untrue, she was loyal. Loyal to her mother, to her siblings and friends. He however she was not loyal to, he had broken the trust that tied her to him, that prompted her protective loyal side. How? He was the one who had betrayed her mother. Now she was alone in the world, and it was not something she enjoyed. Hunting was hard, forcing her to scavenge and chase weaker animals away from meals.

Such a long trip that had at points seemed hopeless and as if she was to be doomed to be alone... soon changed. In these new lands, so strange to her she could not help but notice the signs that she was no longer alone. Others lived here, that much was obvious but where? Slowly she made her way through the lands heading towards some rocky and rather treacherous terrain but yet she pressed on. Exhaustion beginning to weigh on her, her steps are slow and cautious as the sun beats down on her dark brown coat. The scent of water causes her to lift her head which had previously fallen level with her spine, ears pricking. Was she imagining it? Sniffing the air once more confirmed that no, she had smelled correctly. Picking up her pace slightly – though still cautious with each step – she moved across the roughened terrain and out onto the ledge of a cliff. Green eyes locked onto the lake below and a low sigh escaped vocals. Relief.

Looking down it didnt take a genius to notice the steep incline that she currently stood atop, the steep cliff side she would have to navigate to reach the lush green grass below and more importantly the water. Glancing around she searched for a safe way down, though it was soon clear there was no such path. It left her with only one option, to continue her descent as carefully as she could and hope – pray – she did not take a tumble and end up injured or even worse … dead. Shaking her head she soon began her way down, each step more cautious than previously. Checking the rocks below would hold her before she placed each paw down. It was slow going but eventually she was at the last little cliff before the grass below. Leaping off and landing with a slight 'Oof' as her paws hit the lush ground and the scent of other wolves near by grew stronger. After a step or two she halted, ears flicking back as she debated her next move … does she draw attention to herself and hope they are friendly? She did so want to join a pack … but what if they attacked? Surely they knew this terrain better than her, what were the odds she could escape? Deciding to suck it up she tilted her head back, releasing a howl and in turn alerting anyone near by to her position.

Nash Eastfall

Grief weighed on him like a blanket of wet snow, seeping into his fur and chilling his bones. His mother, his daughter, his grandchildren who never got to see the sun... it threatened to become too much for the solitary leader. He needed to keep strong, needed to march forward for the sake of his pack... but he was just so tired. And he still needed to travel down to tell Chan about his mother's passing...

One day at a time. He leaned heavily on his wife, just as he hoped she was leaning on him... his youngest daughter was his biggest joy right now, though he was trying not to neglect his eldest children. They had also lost so much this month. This year.

We really are cursed.

A call met his ears and Nash look up. He shook out his fur, trying to fling the weight from him like water droplets before approaching the stranger, held held high, tail raised, presenting a front of strength. He looked up on the young girl. "Hello," he said, voice friendly. "I'm Nash, the leader of Sanguine Cove. How may I help you?"

It does not take long before another approaches, answering the call she had released most likely drawing them to her. That or it was just a happy coincidence that apparently the leader of the local pack had simply stumbled upon her. Something she highly doubted because well her luck hadnt been that good, why would it change now? She remains silent for a few moments, mere seconds really as he speaks. Green eyes taking note of his appearance and body language. While he held his head and tail high, her own was lowered slightly upon his approach despite the fact his voice was friendly as he spoke.

”Hello.” It was an echoed greeting, her own voice respectful though slightly weary. She never trusted someones behavior at first, it could be a trick for all she knew. To lure her into a sense of security before springing an attack. Distrust. It was deep within her veins. ”Pleasure to meet you, Nash. I am Saoirse. I am new around here, and was hoping to find a place to call home...” She does not press for information on his pack, but rather waits to see what his reaction will be. Could she finally end the long search of finding a place to start a new, to heal from the damage of her past?

Nash Eastfall

The woman seemed... cautious, but Nash couldn't fault her for that. Times were tough, and there was still an attempted murderer on the loose. Perhaps she had come across him. Nash kept his tone kind, hoping to help put her at ease. She had come to them, after all. He smiled. "Hello Saorise. You are welcome at the Cove, but I have to ask: have you lived on a mountain before? It is not the easy life, and we have pups to feed. Once you've had time to settle in you'll be expected to help maintain pack lands." He didn't want to frighten her off, but so many wolves seemed to simply come and go so quickly... it felt as though the only members who stayed were those born on the slopes.

And even then, only a few. He wanted new members, but he wanted a sense of stability too.
