RE: A recent heat wave has left the forests drier than usual. Open to anyone from DEB!
Clover thought the death toll would have ended with Rochus for the time being, but not even two months later and Vanadis was gone. It had happened so suddenly that she hadn't been able to figure out how to help her. And now she was gone. This time for good.
There had been so much loss lately. Each one chipping away at her core. First Vayko ripping away any hope and dreams she had left, then Rochus took away her confidence and self-worth, and now Vana had stolen her last-ditch attempt at rekindling an old friendship.
What did she have left? Nothing. The kids were disappearing left and right, the adults were dying, and there was apparently nothing that she could do about it.
It made her angry. Angry at herself. Angry at the world. A seething white hot rage that she didn't know what to do with. The world seemed to feed off her anger, resulting in soaring temperatures that had turned green shrubbery to brittle and dried out husks of their former selves. It was fitting, really. And so she sat silently near the outskirts of the territory, unmoving like a rock beyond muttering a soft "why?" under her breath.
