Addy flew through the darkness, long legs navigating the terrain beneath them with expert precision. Their heart hammered and their lungs burned, but they had to find Mir. What they had just witnessed could not be kept inside and left to mystery, they needed to know.
After the relative chaos of the day, they had sought peace once their father had finally fallen into a deep, motionless sleep. Or at least, as much of it as they could achieve. Their innards wouldn't rest, unease constantly trying to crawl its way up their spine and into their brain. Any minute now, they should be hearing from @Micaden. He of all wolves couldn't just not come back. But his voice never came, nor his footsteps, nor his face amongst the shadows...
At some point, they'd started watching the sky instead. After a while, at a moment when the wind picked up, it had happened. They'd seen a shadow pass over the bright spotlight of a moon, and they'd heard their mother's laughter in the air.
"Mir!" they called out after breathing in the older wolf's scent, putting everything they had into moving even faster in pursuit of her, "Miriam! I need you! I have to tell you something!"
